Chapter Twelve

Harlow ran to Jax's side as he laid on the floor his hand over the gun shot wound she knelt down her hand pressing down as blood squirted all over the place

"You shot me you crazy bitch" Jax tried to get out

"Don't come up behind me then when I have a loaded gun you should know that you dumb idiot" Harlow said pressing harder as she reached into Jax's pocket to get his phone out to call 911

"They are coming soon dont worry, just hang in there" Harlow said as she watched Jax struggle to breathe

"Get off me" Jax said losing air quickly

Harlow moved over slightly and Jax took a deep breath "Your not supposed to sit on me fuck" Jax said

"I had to get the bleeding to slow down" Harlow said

"Big difference when I am losing a lot of blood, you have a shitty aim by the way for a fed" Jax chuckled

Harlow was so concerned thinking Jax was going to die that she didnt realize she shot him in the shoulder

"I could of shot you in the head like that guy" Harlow said pointing to Aaron

"Your right you could have but that would require you to actually look at what you are shooting at" Jax said

"Wait. What the fuck are you doing here?" Harlow asked as the paramedics came in

"Special Agent Harley Lowman found that guy like that and when Mr. Teller came in from behind I reacted" Harlow said standing up flashing her badge hoping no one would look at the date form six years ago

"Ok what is your name sir? any allergies to medicine?" one of the emts asked

"HIs name is Jackson Teller and he has no known allergies, he did have a heard defect but it fixed it self, no daily meds either" Harlow blurted out

"How does she know this sir?" he asked

"Shes my wife now get me to the hospital" Jax said as they got him on the stretcher

"Sorry Jax" Harlow said sympathetically as they began wheeling him out of the apartment

"Your not coming?" one of the emts asked

Harlow looked at Jax "I should probably hang out back here to file the report." Harlow said looking away

"We can have someone come up here and take a statement at the hospital if you want to be with your husband" he said

Harlow swallowed hard as she looked at Jax

"Come with me please" Jax said holding out one of his hands

Harlow walked toward Jax as he grabbed her hands and laced his fingers with hers bringing her hand up her his lips and kissing her knuckles

Harlow looked at him like he lost his damn mind as they wheeled him into the ambulance

Once they arrived at the emergency room they removed the bullet from Jax's shoulder and patched him up. Harlow sitting in the corner still wondering why Jax was even at Aaron's house and why he asked her to come with him.

"I found your phone" Jax said as the doctor left

"What phone" Harlow asked

"The one under the mattress" Jax said

"Oh" Harlow said knowing that was the phone she used to contact Grey when she needed to

"I spoke to Agent Grey" Jax said

Harlow was shocked that Jax would actually speak to a federal agent

"And what did he have to say?" Harlow asked

"Everything I needed to know" Jax said

"Well Grey can be a dick sometimes so I'm sure what he told you wasn't true, why am I here Jax you said your words" Harlow said crossing her arms over her chest

"Because he told me that you chose to stay" Jax said

"I did, you didn't want to listen to me" Harlow said

"I made a mistake I'm sorry" Jax said

"I was going to ask you to stay when we woke up but you were gone already" Jax said

"I left because I couldnt hurt anymore Jax. The things you said to me hurt me and that was why I left" Harlow said

"Im sorry I am such a dick sometimes i cant help it" Jax admitted

"I wish you would of listened to me. I never once lied to you Jax. I wanted to be with you and I knew it was going to cost me my job and I was okay with that" Harlow said

"How did Aaron play in this?" Jax asked

"Aaron Price wanted me from the first time he met me, I didnt know this until he told me today he was one of the guys that raped me. Along with Shaun my ex husbands brother thats who I thought i was shooting" Harlow said

"Well you shot your husband instead" Jax laughed

"Yeah sorry about that. Your an outlaw you should know that you cant just sneak up on people like that" Harlow smiled

"I wanted to come tell my wife that I was sorry and I wanted to bring her back home with me" Jax said

Harlow's eyes lit up "Is this for real or are you just playing some sick game to get back at me?"

"The real deal babe. I cant live another day without you in my life even if you are a fed" Jax said

Harlow stood up from the chair and walked towards Jax

"Technically I'm not a fed anymore, that pretty little badge I waved around was from six years ago" Harlow said

"I love you" Jax said as he took her hand in his

"I love you too baby" Harlow smiled as she leaned down and kissed Jax

"When we get home I have a mess to clean up" Jax said

"Dont worry about it baby I will take care of it" Harlow said as she cupped Jax's face

Jax wasnt kidding when he said he had a mess to clean up, Harlow walked into the bedroom and nearly fainted, everything was ransacked, pictures where thrown across the room and broken and their bed was across the room

"Damn baby" Harlow laughed

"I was a little upset" Jax said bending down and picking up a picture of them with his good hand

"No more secrets" Harlow said looking at Jax

"No more secrets babe" Jax said as he wrapped his arm around his wife and kissed her
