Chapter Twenty

"Hey there babe" Jax smiled as stood over her and watched her eyes flutter open. It had been a full day since her transplant surgery, thankfully it only took about six hours but it was the longest six hours of Jax's life

"Hey you" Harlow smiled

"Everything went perfect" Jax smiled as he leaned down and pecked Harlow's lips

"That guy" Harlow said looking at Jax

"That was someone looking to get to me, we did buisness a long time ago when Clay was at the table and he came back for vengeance" Jax said

"Okay, but what did he want with me?" Harlow asked

"Nothing, he wanted Tommy the youngest Teller but he is safe no worries babe Chibs took care of everything for me" Jax said

"Thank god" Harlow smiled

"I'm gonna head home for a bit and get cleaned up and bring the kids to my moms Im sure your dad wants to come see you" Jax said

"Id like that baby" Harlow smiled

Happy walked into Harlow's hospital room and sat down next to her

"Hey kid" Happy said touching Harlow's hand

"Hey dad did my kids drive you insane?" Harlow asked

"No not too bad but Tommy doesnt sleep much does he?" happy asked

"No not really thanks dad for going last minute" Harlow said

"Of course kid you needed this" Happy said squeezing her hand

"I did but the doctors said its going to be a long road to recovery before I can do a lot of things" Harlow said

"Yeah I bet it is, I'm just glad your getting better I couldnt stand to lose you" Happy said

"Im not ready to leave this place yet dad. Jax and I arent through yet" Harlow smiled

"Im so happy you found him, I wouldn't of wanted a better person to be with you" Happy said

"I originally had my eyes on Tig" Harlow joked

"I would of killed you myself" Happy said

After everyone left the hospital for the night Harlow looked up at the ceiling, she insisted Jax go home and get some sleep while he could because the doctors told her it was going to be atleast a week before she was released from the hospital and another four to six weeks before she could go back to normal activites.

"Excuse me?" A voice called from the doorway

"Who are you?" Harlow asked looking at the person standing in the door

"My name is Riley Smith" She said meekly, Harlow couldnt lie the woman standing before her was absolutely stunning with her long blonde hair and blue eyes

"Hi" Harlow said

"My finacee was Miles Green" Riley said

"Ok, Im not really sure who that is" Harlow said

"He died you have his heart" Riley said

"Oh Im sorry they didnt tell me who's heart I was getting just that they had one for me" Harlow sad

"Well I just wanted to come meet you. Ive heard that you can feel something when someone takes a loved ones organs" Riley said

"I mean if you wanna come feel my heart beat that's cool, Im not sure of the circumstances" Harlow said

"He died in a car accident" Riley said walking into the room a little futher

"I heard you were a mother of five?" Riley said

Harlow smiled and nodded "yeah five crazy kids and if you count my husband its six"

"Oh you have a husband were is he?" Riley asked

"I do, he went home for the night, he needs the sleep" Harlow said

"Miles would of stayed with me until i was ready to leave" Riley said

"Jax and I have a strange relationship. I think out of all my hospital stays he stayed once and that was when I almost died" Harlow said

"Are you from around here?" Riley asked

" I am i live in Charming where are you from i know they said it was going to take a few hours for it to get here" Harlow said

"We live in Stockton just moved here from San Bernidino" Riley said

"Oh nice my dad is from there originally I well come from all over I guess" Harlow said

"Can i just feel your heart?" Riley asked

"Of course I know what its like to grieve a loved one i just wish my mom would of donated something but she had brain cancer" Harlow said

"Im sorry" Riley said walking closer to Harlow and placing her hand over the bandaged on Harlow's chest

"He wanted this you know, Miles was always a sweet guy and he offered to be an organ donar. Im just glad he chose too so now i can meet the person that carries his heart" Riley smiled as she felt Harlow's heart beat

"Well i am honored, and as creepy as it sounds you can come feel my heart beat anytime" Harlow smiled

"Thank you, I'll be back tomorrow before I head back home" Riley said

"Okay, I am really sorry Riley" Harlow said

"I'm happy it went to someone like you. You need a good strong heart and Miles's was the one for you" Riley smiled before saying goodbye and heading out

Harlow took a deep breath as the nurses assisted her to get out of bed for the first time in three days. She needed to get home she missed her family but most of all she missed her bed. Jax had been in and out the last three days and she was waiting for him to get back with some clothes for her she was tired of wearing a hospital gown she needed real pants.

"Look at you" Jax smiled as he walked onto the room

"I'm trying baby" Harlow said as the nurses helped her stand

"I brought you some stuff" Jax said as he set the backpack down on the chair as he crossed his arms and let Harlow walk over to him

"Everything looks really good Mrs. Teller you are doing great" the nurse Jackie smiled

"I'm so ready to go home" Harlow said as Jax's arms wrapped around her

"Hey im not interuppting anything am i?" Riley asked as she walked  the room

"No, not at all. Riley this is my husband Jax. Baby this is Riley I have her fiancees heart" Harlow smiled as Riley walked closer and shook Jax's hand

"Nice to meet you" Jax smiled

"Nice to meet you too Jax, wow Harlow you didn't tell me he was this good looking" Riley laughed

"Well I like to keep people guessing" Harlow said

"Babe I've gotta get to the shop I'll be back for lunch" Jax said as he cupped her face and kissed her

"Okay, sneak me in something other then water please I'm dying for a tea" Harlow said against his lips

"You got it babe I love you"  Jax said

"I love you too baby" Harlow smiled as she watched Jax walk out

"Wow girl you got lucky with that one" Riley joked

"I sure did, he's amazing. We've been through so much in the last few years" Harlow said

"I wish I had love like that Miles and I loved eachother but nothing like what you guys have" Riley said

"One day Riley it will come when you least expect it" Harlow smiled
