Chapter Ten

Jax climbed into bed next to Harlow, her back facing him Jax knew she was hurting and so was he. Jax was stuck on what to do, he knew that Harlow loved him or he hoped that she still did moving closer to her Jax wrapped his arm around Harlow's waist, even if it was the last time he would get to hold her he would hold her all night. At some point throughout the night Jax felt Harlow's body shaking he knew she was crying and it was his fault he was taking everything away from her. Jax pulled Harlow closer to him, she turned over the makeup that was on her face was staining her face he wiped a few tears away with his thumb as he brought her face to his kissing her lips lightly. Harlow kissed him back she knew he was acting like this because he felt bad. Jax hated making Harlow cry, he always felt terrible when he did

"I wish this was easier" Jax whispered as he rested his head on hers

"I told you that you wont see me ever again" Harlow said

"I don't want that for the kids, for me" Jax said

"The kids aren't going to understand Jax, they wont understand why I am not here every morning" Harlow said

"I cant let you stay as much as I want to" Jax said

"I understand Jax" Harlow said as she bit her lip

After Harlow knew Jax was fast asleep she was able to release herself from his grasp, grabbing her bag she walked down the hallway and into the kitchen, grabbing a piece of paper and a pen Harlow began to write knowing the kids would be up in about an hour

Never in my life did I think that I was going to meet my soulmate, the one person that could break my wall down like it was nothing. You did that. You did amazing things to me baby you helped me change who I was to who I wanted to be. I was never meant to fall in love with you but I did and I don't regret any of it. The way you looked into my eyes was like I was the only thing that mattered in your life and that feeling was amazing. My assignment was to find out who was trafficking the drugs and guns and take them out. But then you came along, you came along and swept me off my feet and loved me, loved me for who I really was. You knew that person because it was me this whole time. When we first made love I knew I was in too deep and there was no backing out. I was already in too deep. When I spoke with my superior officer I averted him and always told him I was working on it but I wasn't. I was too busy being Mrs. Jackson Teller to think about arresting anyone. I gave up my career to be with you baby I could of played stupid and denied what Aaron said but I couldn't live with it anymore. I couldn't live with the fact that I was holding such a big secret. I'll always love you baby that wont ever change. I am sorry I hurt you and the kids it wasn't supposed to be this way. I am leaving you something that was passed down from generation to generation. My pancake recipe. Remember Piper likes bananas on hers, Abel doesn't eat the chocolate chips, Veda won't eat them unless its slathered in butter and Jason it doesn't matter what you put on them he will eat them. I love you so much please kiss the kids for me every night and tell them that I love them.

Jax read over the note trying to choke back the tears that were threatening to fall, she wasn't supposed to leave yet, they were supposed to have pancakes this morning and have breakfast like a family, just like they always did.

Jax ran his hands through his hair as he walked back to the bathroom his hands resting against the marble sink he rolled his shoulders as the tears fell from his eyes. Looking down at his wedding ring Jax struggled to get it off he even tried using the soap method but it wouldn't move slamming his hand down on the counter Jax walked into the bedroom and tossed it, everything got thrown, kicked, punched when he flipped the mattress over Jax found a cell phone one he had never seen before

Picking it up Jax opened the phone and looked at the phone number and pressed send

"Agent Lowman nice to hear from you" a voice said

"This is Jax." Jax said sitting on the box spring

"Mr. Teller where is Agent Lowman" he said

"First I want to know who this is" Jax said

"My name is Agent Grey I am Harley's superior" He said

"Where can I find my wife" Jax asked

"I'm not sure sir what has she told you?" Agent Grey asked

"Everything" Jax said

"Consider yourself very lucky Mr. Teller she was supposed to arrest you five years ago along with her father" Agent Grey

"Why didn't she?" Jax asked

"She said she fell in love with you and she couldn't bring herself to do it" Agent Grey said

"Then why did Aaron Price come here and blow her cover?" Jax asked

"She didn't tell you?" Agent Grey asked

"Didn't tell me what?" Jax asked

"She was no longer undercover" Agent Grey said

"What do you mean she was no longer undercover? Aaron said she never reported to you" Jax said

"Aaron Price is a brown noser, he found Harley on the side of the road after we had been searching for her. She is supposed to at least check in with me once a week just to let me know she was okay. She is like a daughter to me Mr. Teller I pulled the plug a long time ago she chose to stay" Agent Grey said

"How long ago?" Jax asked as his hand went over his face

"Right after her mother passed she spent the weekend with you. Everyone deserves to be happy Jackson even if they shouldn't be" Agent Grey said

"Do you have any idea where I can find her?" Jax asked

"Nope, but you better find her before someone else does" Agent grey said before he hung up

Jax let the tears fall from his face knowing that he made a mistake and it could cost him everything
