This Doesn't Have To Be A Bad Thing

I have come to the conclusion that my titles are long and confusing, like Fall Out Boy songs. Just hand me some drum sticks and call me Andy!

You stare at yourself in the mirror, mentally preparing yourself.

I can do this. Deep breath, Y/N.

You bite your lip, looking down at the Pregnancy Test. This shouldn't be hard. All you have to do is pee on that stick.

I don't have to pee. But I have to do this before Dan gets home.

You shiver, opening the box. You know Phil is waiting in the kitchen somewhere, probably stress eating like he usually does.

Then you finally work up the courage to pee on the stupid stick. When you finish, you place it on a plastic bag on the counter, too scared to look at it.

You wash your hands before running your fingers through your hair. You take breath, your heart pounding a million miles an hour.

You hold in your breath, wiping your sweaty palms and looking down at the pregnancy test. And the result is...

Positive.

You gasp, not knowing what to think or do.

I'm pregnant.

Should I cry? Happy or sad tears? Should I scream? Should I be angry? I THINK I'M JUST FREAKING OUT.

Your hands begin to shake. You close your eyes and count to ten, breathing in and out.

Just then, there's a small knock on the door. "...Y/N?"

You take a deep breath, slowly opening the door. Phil looks down at you, searching your eyes for answers. Just then your eyes fill with tears, but you don't let them fall.

"I'm pregnant."

Phil doesn't know how to respond either. He stares at you with wide eyes. "You're... pregnant?"

You nod, rubbing the back of your neck. "Yeah... I'm pregnant." You repeat the word in your head over and over again.

It just doesn't seem real.

Phil then engulfs you a hug and you squeeze him back. You think you're too much in shock to cry. "Are you okay, Y/N?"

You nod. "Yeah..."

"Is this good?" He bites his lip, looking down at your face for approval.

You shake your head, confused. "I... I don't know."

"How do you feel?" He asks.

You shrug, looking anywhere but him. "I don't know... Numb?"

Phil nods, taking a deep breath as well. "You just need time to comprehend all this."

"Yeah..." You nod, swallowing your spit.

Phil hesitates, glancing at the positive test, resting on the bag. "When are you going to tell Dan?"

You look back at the test too. You totally forgot about telling Dan. "I-I don't know... Um, I think I'm gonna on a walk for a little bit."

Phil hesitates, trying to find something to say. But he fails, letting you pass him, and walk out of the bathroom.
