(A/n) This one takes place in the Brotherhood episode "Dogged Runner". You are Prompto's best (and only) friend. Enjoy!
(Y/n) POV
Prompto and I are best friends. We have been ever since I first met him 2 years ago when we were six.
I was meeting Prompto at his house when school finished since the last class I took wasn't with him.
I jogged there hoping I'd see him soon.
Since my class ends 30 minutes before his, I have plenty of time to run there and wait. After a while, I start to worry. It usually doesn't take this long.
"Prompto, there you are! I was starting to worry," I say happily. Until I saw his sad expression.

"Hey what's wrong?" I ask, concern lacing my voice. "I, I tried to be friends with Prince Noctis. I fell and when he pulled me up, he called me 'heavy'," Prompto says sadly, a tear falling down his cheek. Never looking me in the eye.
"Prompto I'm so sorry. Do you want me to do something about it?" I ask, ready to do anything he may ask me.
"I still want to be friends with him, for Lady Lunafreya," he says another tear streaming down his face.
"But um, would you help me with something?" he asks facing me. "Sure, anything," I say trying to comfort him. "Would you help me lose weight? Teach me how to run?" He asks loudly. "Of course Prompto! We could run together everyday before school and everyday after! I could even bring you some fruits and vegetables from my parents' house. I'm sure they won't mind," I say cheerfully. "Really? Thank you (n/n)," he says, calling me the special nickname he made for me. "Let's do this!" He shouts before giving me a high five.

Prompto's POV
"You really think I'm ready?" I ask (y/n) nervously. "Are you kidding me? We've been doing this for about 7 years. You're ready," she says giving me the boost of confidence I need. "Alright, here I go." ......... "Hey there, Prince Noctis!" "Huh?" "I'm Prompto, nice to meet you!" "Don't I know you?" Prince Noctis asks. I laugh nervously surprised he recognized me. He then puts his arm around me in a friendly way slightly hitting me. I then realized, he wanted to be friends. Me and the prince where going to be friends!
