A Song For Noct |Noctis x Reader|

(A/n) This happens in an AU where Noctis doesn't have to marry Lunafreya and Nifleheim doesn't attack Lucis.

(Y/n)'s POV

Noctis and I have been dating for almost a year now and I want to do something amazing for our anniversary. He's been so kind to me and I really want to do something special for him, but what? Whatever I do I want it to be perfect. Something to show how much I really love him. It's in only a month so I don't have much time.

"Hey (n/n), what are you doing?" Noctis asks, hugging me from behind and resting his chin on my shoulder. I was so deep in thought I didn't notice his presence.

"Nothing really, just thinking." I reply nonchalantly.

"Are you doing anything right now?"

"No, why?"

"I was wondering if you'd like to go to the Crow's Nest with me. I know it's not much, but I want to spend some time with you." He says, going in front of me.

"Yeah I'd love to!" 'Maybe I'll get an idea if I go out.'

He takes my hand and leads me towards the Regalia. I sit in the passenger seat next to him and buckle my seatbelt. He turns the radio on and starts the car.

"So what's the sudden occasion Noct?" I ask with a teasing tone.

"What, I can't take my girlfriend out to eat?"

I laugh before I hear a song play through the radio, leaving me speechless.

The song was played all on piano, it's beauty was breathtaking. Each note seemed to fit perfectly with the next. 'That's it! That's what I'll do. I'll compose a song for Noctis. I'm pretty good at playing the piano, and I'm sure Noct will love it.' Throughout the rest of the ride, I think of all the ways I could combine notes to make the perfect song.

"(N/n), we're here." Noctis says, opening the car door for me and holding his hand out to me.

"Thank you Noct." I say, stepping out of the car and grasping his hand.

We both ordered Kenny's Salmon and ate it. Talking most of the time. The whole time I couldn't get my mind off of the gift I was going to make for Noctis.

When we get home, I immediately sit down at the piano in our house and started to compose the song. Every day I was alone I would sit down at the piano and compose. Sometimes for even hours at a time. Until finally, it was perfect.

*One Month Time Skip*

I sit in silence on our bed, waiting for Noctis to wake up. I see him start to stir slightly and open his eyes.

"Happy Anniversary Noct!" I say happily, hugging him.

"Happy Anniversary (n/n)." He smiles and hugs me back.

"Get up, I made breakfast."  I say, pulling the blankets off of him.

"Alright alright, I'll be down in a minute. Let me change into my clothes first."

I run downstairs and sit down on my chair, waiting as patiently as I can for him to come down.

When he finally does, he sits down next to me and kisses me on my cheek, making me giggle slightly.

"So, after breakfast I have a surprise for you!" I say happily, barely able to contain my excitement.

"Can't wait." He smiles at me and holds my hand for the rest of the meal.

When we finish eating, I drag him over to the piano and I sit down. "Ok. Ready?" I ask him, suddenly becoming a bit nervous.

He nods his head and I close my eyes, taking a deep breath. I place my hands on the keys and start playing.

My fingers slide almost effortlessly as I play the song, knowing each and every note by heart. The melody and notes blended together perfectly, making the song sound beautiful. When I finish playing, I turn around to face Noctis.

"So, did you like it?" I ask nervously.

"Did you, compose that yourself?"

"Yeah, I've been composing it for the last month. It's called NOCTIS." As soon as I finish my sentence, he picks me up and hugs me tightly.

"That was beautiful (n/n). Thank you." He pulls back from the hug to cup my cheek lightly. He then leans his face closely to mine.

I could feel his breath on my lips from the close proximity. I close the gap between us and place my lips on his, kissing him softly. Our kiss turn more passionate as time progresses before he draws back, leaning his forehead on mine.

He stands back and kneels down on one knee, bringing out a box. 'Is he? No, he couldn't be.'

"(Y/n) (L/n), would you do me the honor of making me the happiest man on Earth, and marry me?"

I feel tears cloud my vision as I register what he just said. "Yes! Yes! I thousand times yes!" I yell, hugging him tightly.

He stands up laughing. Kissing me over and over again happily.

"Thank you (Y/n)."
