Happy Birthday Noct! |Noctis x Reader|

(A/n) A one shot for the special occasion of Noctis's birthday. The amazing art above is not mine. I hope you enjoy it and happy birthday Prince Noctis!

(Y/n)'s POV

In a few days it will be Noct's birthday. I want it to be extremely special for him so I've decided to throw a surprise party. It won't be a big party since it'll just be Prompto, Gladio, Ignis, Iris, Talcott, Noct, and I but I've planned everything so it will perfect.

Over the past week, Gladio, Prompto, Ignis, and I have taken turns visiting Iris' house in Cape Caem and helping with the decorations.

Right now, it's my turn to visit Iris. While Prompto distracts Noct by convincing him to play a few rounds of King's Knight, I take my chance and call my chocobo. I make sure to do it once I've walked far enough from the campsite that they wouldn't hear it. I take my whistle out and blow. After a few moments my (color) chocobo arrives. I mount him/her and flick the reins.

"(Y/n), you made it!" Iris exclaims happily once I arrive.

"Sorry Iris, it was harder than usual to slip away from Noctis." I chuckle, getting off my chocobo

"It's ok. You came to check on the decorations, right?" I nod my head in reply and she gestures for me to follow her.

"Come on then! You don't wanna keep Noctis waiting for too long!" She says cheerfully, skipping slightly towards her house.

After checking all of the decorations and making sure everything was still in place, I hop on my chocobo and race back to the campsite.

"(N/n), you're back," Noctis says happily as he gives me a hug. "Where were you?" He gives me a questioning look as he pulls back from the hug.

"I was just riding my chocobo."

"For two hours?" He questions, obviously not believing my story.

"Yeah... why... wouldn't I ride my chocobo for two hours..?"

He seems to catch the uncertainty in my voice but doesn't question it further.

*Several days later*

"Wake up Noct! Come on, wake up!"

I shake Noctis violently, only for him to groan slightly and roll over.

'Come on Noct! If you don't hurry, we won't be able to do everything I planned before it's time...'

I shake him for a few more seconds before getting an even better idea. I quickly take the blankets off of him and get on top of the bed. I then start bouncing as high as I can, making sure not to jump on him.

After a few moments his eyes snap open and he quickly gets up into a sitting position.

"Finally! Mornin' sleepyhead!" I say happily.

"(N/n)...? Why did you wake me?"

"Because it's your birthday!"

"Shouldn't you let me sleep in on my birthday then?" He questions, closing his eyes and laying back down.

I huff in annoyance and pull his arm, making him sit back up.

"No, if you do that we'll never get to do what I planned!" I explain unhappily.

"You planned something? What?" He questions, seeming to finally pay attention.

"It's a surprise. So hurry up and get ready!" I yell before leaving the hotel room.
