Madeline's POV- December 2016

"You never told me how your meeting went?"

I caught the ball with ease and sat up.

"It went well" I replied.

It went real well, I got accepted into the program. I was going to decide once I heard back from the rest of the programs though. On my way back from campus I decided I would not tell Auston because he would try to convince me to stay in Toronto. It was my decision to make though, and I did not want him to meddle in it. If I was coming to Toronto, it would be to pursue a higher education...not Auston.

"That's good"

I nodded and tossed him the ball.

"So I'm going to assume you liked the program?"

"It's a great program" I told him.

He smiled.

"So there's a possibility of you coming to Toronto?"

I looked at William who was in the kitchen drinking water.

"I don't know" I admitted.

I smiled as they both frowned at me. Auston tossed the ball over, which I easily caught.

"Something on your mind?"

I glanced up at him and smiled.

"Yesterday was actually an interview" I told him.

The doorbell rang and he raised an eyebrow.

"Are you expecting anyone?" I asked.

"No, but teammates have a habit of coming unannounced"

I laughed as William grinned because he came unannounced.

"Well go answer it" I said.

Auston sighed and stood up. I looked at William when a giggle was heard and Auston stepped into the hallway.

"None of the guys giggle like that"

I looked at William.

"You got into the program, didn't you?"

My silence was an answer for him, and I laughed as he smiled like a Cheshire cat.

"Stop that" I told him.

"Stop what?"

"Smiling like that, you lose the top of your lip" I stated.

He rolled his eyes as he laughed.

"I love your laugh" I admitted.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it has a blend of giggle in it" I noted.

He suddenly frowned.

"Don't try to change the subject"

I let out a sigh and nodded.

"Nice, congrats"

"Let's keep this between you and I" I said.

"Why?"

"Because I'm still waiting on other programs to get back to me" I replied.

He nodded slowly.

"Alright"

"Promise?" I asked.

He smiled and stuck out his pinky.

"Pinky promise"

We hooked pinkies and turned towards the door when we heard arguing. I had to admit, William was a good looking guy. He was an incredibly charming guy, and I liked that he was comfortable around me. The second I met him, I knew we were going to be good friends.
