Auston's POV- December 2016

I watched as Maddy zipped up her winter coat and fixed the scarf on her neck.

"Ready?" I asked.

She looked up and nodded.

"Yeah, but you're not"

Taking four steps forward she reached up and pulled down my beanie. Making sure my ears were covered she moved onto to fixing my scarf.

"You know you can look good and warm at the same time"

I rolled my eyes as she patted my chest once she had finished adjusting the scarf.

"Now we're ready"

I smiled and offered her my arm.

"Let's head out then" I told her.

I opened the door as she hooked her arm around mine. We kept our head down as we walked to my car. So far, I had not been recognized and I was enjoying every second of it.

"Hey Maddy" I said as I held the passenger door open for her.

She looked at me.

"You look beautiful" I informed her.

I laughed at the response I got from her, an eye roll.

"You've told me that all night"

"And I will say it until you believe it" I told her.

I closed the passenger door and went around. I quickly got into the car and turned it on making sure the heater was on.

"How are you liking Toronto?" I asked.

I glanced at her a I started driving to see her looking out the window.

"It's beautiful here"

"Beautiful enough to make you come to Grad School here?" I wondered.

"Maybe"

That was not a no.

"It's really nice here, I can tell why you're having a blast"

I smiled.

"It sucks you couldn't stay longer" I admitted.

"I've been here for almost a week"

"You know if you do end up choosing to come here for Grad School, my place has a spare bedroom" I mentioned.

"Where would your parents stay when they come visit?"

"They usually stay at a hotel" I replied.

"Really?"

"There's too many of us, and I doubt my sisters would like to sleep on the couch" I answered.

She hummed and nodded.

"Makes sense"

"How long will you be staying with your dad?" I questioned.

"A week, same with my mom"

"Your youngest sister is going to be happy to meet Poppy" I told her.

She laughed.

"No, she's into dogs now"

Maddy had a two sisters, one that was eight and the other that was four.

"How are the twins?" I asked.

From her mom's side she had twin siblings, age twelve.

"Tall, and loud"

I chuckled.
