Marie ran at a fast pace to keep up with Khan, the superhuman alien that for some reason she couldn't help but love. She felt like he needed a pure, normal person to keep him in check and she wanted to be that girl. Kirk and Scotty were behind them, and all four of them were on their way to the bridge to confront Admiral Marcus about what he was doing. Marie couldn't figure out why he would want to destroy the Enterprise, just because they knew Khan wasn't really John Harrison. The group stormed onto the bridge. Khan took the front, holding Marie behind him.
"Admiral, we meet again"
"Hello Khan, I see you've got these people in your control"
"He's not controlling us, he's helping us to defeat you!"
Khan and the Admiral laughed, and Kirk nodded to Scotty who shot Khan in the head with a stun blast from his gun. Khan fell to the floor and Marie shrieked, dropping to her knees beside him.
"Scotty! What the hell?"
"Captain said to, no hard feelings"
Marie glared at Kirk and tugged Khan's head into her lap, stroking his hair out of his face.
"Admiral, surrender your ship, or I will take it by force"
"Kirk, you think you have what it takes?"
"I know I do, and anybody would be a better ruler than you! You were ready to end the lives of my entire crew! Your own daughter was on that ship!"
"Carol is on the Enterprise?"
"Yes, I found out she faked her transfer records so she could come aboard, she knew I had the torpedoes, and wanted to study them further"
"You know that Khan's family is in the torpedoes"
"Of course, Carol helped show us. She and our doctor managed to get one of the casings open"
On Marie's lap, Khan started to stir. Marie was surprised, he should have been out for hours from that blast. But, she figured, he was stronger than the rest of them. She wanted him to stay under, his temper would make him lose control. The Admiral pressed a few buttons and suddenly Carol appeared on the bridge. She slapped her father, hard, twice.
"I am ashamed of you! I will not be called your daughter!"
"I'll deal with you later"
He pushed her off to the side the minute Khan opened his eyes. He stood up and threw Scotty to the floor, accidentally hitting Marie in the eye with his elbow. She cried out in pain, but Khan ignored her injury. He raced for the Captain and knocked him to the ground too, before spinning around to get Carol, and then approached the Admiral.
"You've destroyed everything I hold dear, and now I'm going to end you"
Khan grabbed the Admiral's head, and with his immense strength, pulled it off. Marie screamed in horror. Kirk opened his eyes, and so did Scotty. Scotty rushed to Carol and used a nearby console to transport them back to the Enterprise. Marie, Kirk and Khan were left.
"Khan, stop this. We have your family, what can you do to us?"
"I can destroy you"
The captain and Khan started to fight, punching and kicking. Marie jumped to her feet and raced over to aid her captain, or at least break up the fight, and Khan pushed her away. Marie hit her head on a panel and fell to the ground, unconscious. Khan got Kirk in a chokehold and called the Enterprise. When the bridge crew appeared on the view screen, he started his message.
"Your captain deserves to die. But I will spare him now, because everyone knows a captain should go down with his ship"
He terminated the video feed and threw Kirk away. He crawled to Marie and held her tightly just as the yellow lights surrounded them and they were transported back. The appeared in Khan's old cell in the brig, and the officer had to let then out. Kirk handed Marie to the ensign and had him take her to the med bay after Kirk quickly kissed her. Kirk raced to the bridge to command his ship. The ensign gently carried Marie to the med bay, and when he arrived, Bones took the girl and sent the boy back to his post. He laid her on a bed and examined her head. Marie groaned and started to come to.
"Marie, what happened?"
"Khan did this to me. I guess he never really loved me"
Marie sat up.
"I have to stop him"
