Aubrey felt as though she was repeatedly being stabbed. Stabbed in the heart and in the head, by the migrane that was induced by the cause of her heart ache. She felt drained and absolutely exhausted. The image of Harry kissing Louis reverberated through her mind unyieldingly. Embarrassment, jealousy, and anger burned red-hot within her. Physically she was shivering, the cold clutched her as she sat in a snow drift.

Her petite body couldn't contain the boiling emotion within her. She grabbed a chunk of ice from the ground and chucked it across the field. She screamed, choosing to be angry over hurt. She collapsed back into the snow when he throat grew so dry she didn't think she could scream any longer. She sat violently sobbing. Suddenly she rose and stalked to her car, with an uncharted determination.

She slammed the car door behind her and shoved her Arctic Monkeys CD, AM, into the player. The music enveloped her. Despite everything she smiled. The beats gave her strength. She felt fierce and powerful. She could do this she thought. Her destination was set and she sped towards it.

A surprised blue-eyed boy opened the door when she knocked on it. "Aubrey? What are you doing here?" Niall asked bewildered.

"We're going out tonight. Grab your stuff." He quickly grabbed his jacket and closed the door behind himself. Harry had purposely made sure Niall and Aubrey hadn't seen each other since that day in the movie theater. Aubrey knew in the back of her mind that that was part of the reason she had come to Niall, but she didn't care. She needed to feel like she was free to do what she wanted and Harry didn't have any say what she did anymore, anyways.

"Aubrey, I'm awfully sorry about-"

She cut him off, "We're all good. It's fine. Let's just not talk about it." He nodded.

"So where are we going?" He asked after they were driving for about five minutes.

"Let's go do something fun. Any ideas?"

"If you make a left here we could go to the Jacob's, they're throwing a party tonight."

"Perfect."

When they walked through the door they were greeted by a very intoxicated guy maybe a year or two older than them, who held multiple cups of alcohol. He offered them a glass in place of greeting. "No, we're fine thanks." Niall answered for them.

"I'll take one actually, thanks." The stranger handed Aubrey a red cup and walked away.

"I thought you didn't drink?" Niall questioned.

"I didn't," She shrugged. He scrunched his eyebrows at that but didn't pressure her to explain. They stood off to the side of where everyone was dancing. Aubrey continued drinking and soon had a stack of empty cups beside her. "Let's go dance!" She suggested enthusiastically. "Yeah alright," Niall smiled thinking perhaps it was good for her to let loose this way.

Aubrey was soon hunched over in laughter at the sight of Niall dancing.

"Oh shut it, I'm better than you are!" He teased her.

"Are not!"

"Am so!"

"Wanna bet?" She smirked.

"I think I do."

"Alright, do your worst." He said smirking.

She began moving her hips to the beat of the music blasting from the speakers. She wrapped her arms around Niall's neck and moved close enough that she was grinding on him. He felt her hot breath on his ear. "Alright, alright, you win!" He said loudly. His cheeks were a brilliant red. He attempted to unscramble his thoughts but was having difficulty. Aubrey giggled at his apparent distress, the alcohol pulsing through her veins making it impossible to think through her actions.

"Aubrey, I shouldn't have come here with you. Harry would-"

"Harry and I aren't- I mean we're not together anymore."

"Wait what? Since when?"

"This afternoon." The heaviness of her heart was once again apparent. She wished she had another drink, to remain in the euphoric and care-free state she was in moments ago.

"Is that why you started drinking tonight? Oh Aubrey..."

"No, it's not. That's not it." She tried to convince herself as well. "I just wanted to have some fun."

"I'm sorry about you two."

"I'm ok." She said despite the sting of her eyes.

"No you aren't. Come on let's get you home." She nodded and sniffled, thinking about the way everything seemed to be falling apart.

Niall drove her home, watching her carefully. He walked her in and grabbed pajamas for her to change into from her closet. Once she returned from the bathroom, changed and with brushed teeth, he tucked her in. She woke to find medicene and a glass of water next to her bed with a note: For the hangover you're bound to have. Call me if you need anything(: -Niall.
