The barrel of the gun was pressed hard against her chin. She slowly reached down, and pulled out a similar weapon. "It wouldn't work for me anyway." She said handing him the gun.
He grabbed the gun from her and spun it on his hand, across the palm then on the finger once. He then pointed the guns at her, and pulled the hammer back on them. "These were the only things protecting me and my sister. By taking one of them, you kept me unable to protect her. For that I must make an example of you." He said, angrily.
Summoning my weapon, I slowly got closer. "Put the guns down, you wouldn't understand why she steals. Just another kleptomaniac man." I said, catching his attention. Soon I was only a few feet away from him, he got down low and tried to trip me. I used my spear to pivot over it.
He slammed his pistols into the ground, and aimed them at me. I had rolled onto the ground, and extended my spear from my hand after pivoting. My spear was at his troat, while one of his guns were at my head. "Its a draw." I said with a smile.
I felt something press against my inner thigh, so quickly with one hand I grabbed my wyvern blade and brought it to his stomach. He didn't notice this, but he did deni the draw. "No I got you." His other weapon was pointing at my crotch.
"No I got you." I replied, pushing the blue blade closer. "What kind of gun is that?" I asked, noticing he did nothing to load it. "Something you wouldn't understand." He said with a smirk.
"How about no weapons? Who ever loses has to explain them self. Ok?" I asked with interest being very noticeable in my voice. "Deal." He said, and put the hammers on the guns back down. I put away the blade, and spun the spear before putting it away.
He raised his fist like a boxer, and got ready. I mimicked his stance, but pointing my fist outside rather than inside. He swung first, but when I went to counter his jab, he swung a hook. I ducked, and got closer, Which gave him less space too work with. He was fast, but somehow me and him were even.
After a few minutes of exchanging and dodging punches we backed up from each other. "You know, technically since neither of us won, then we both lose." I said breathing heavy. He put his fist down, and said in a childish voice. "Wait that's not fair." He protested.
"Look, I'm Cory. I half human, half god. From..." He cut me off, with a cheer. "You're a demigod too? Wow I'm the son of Apollo." He said with a cheer. It was so weird finding demigods so easy, maybe it was like an internal tracking system, my mother being a huntress and all. "My sister and I are in a foster home, ever since our mother died of cancer. I have been the only thing protecting her, from everything that has attacked us. Until she." He paused to take a breath, and point at Trisha.
"Until she stole one of my guns. My sister got hurt, and now she is in the hospital." He stopped and looked at the ground. "She...she is in critical condition." He said in a low voice. "So who is your god parent?" He asked me finally.
"My mother. She is Artemis, Apollo's sister." I said, putting my hands down now. No longer wanting to fight him. "That reminds me." I said walking over to Trisha. My necklace hanging out of her cleavage, but I didn't care.
"Oh so you are gonna touch her breast?" He asked, with a perverted smile on his face. "No. I just wanted my necklace back." I said correcting him.
"Nah. You want the boobies." He said with a smile. "I'll turn around, go crazy. Pretend I'm not here." He said, while turning his back to me.
"My face started burn as I grabbed ahold of my necklace. "It isn't like that." I complained, and pulled my necklace off her. His expression changed, and he pulled out one of his guns. "I still have to make an example of her." He said with a grim look in his no longer smiling face.
"No. She is a child of Hermes, it isn't something that you can blame her for." I said protecting her, but not wanting to."That isn't the girl you know." He said pulling the hammer on the gun back.
"Damn I thought I could get away with it." Trisha said, but her voice sounded like Gaia. I pulled out my wyvern blade, but didn't get to use it. The body of Trisha started to sink into the pavement, and Gaia's presence faded from my senses.
"Damn it." I said to myself as I put my weapon away. "I was this close, she finally has something that I can hit. Something that might give me a chance to make her feel pain." I started to say, but stopped when I remembered the guy behind me.
"Hey. You never told me your name." I said trying to forget about Trisha and Gaia. "I'm Toni." He replied, and thought about his sister. She would be taken care of by Toni's boss who was like a seraget parent figure for them. Toni couldn't return to face her, she and he had a connection. But he knew she would never wake up again.
