Geb standing taller than Cory seemed intimidated by being approached as he was. "What's up with that gate." Cory asked bluntly. Geb gave an obvious fake smile, he must not have had practice talking to people being here or in the pillar for so long. "What do you mean?"
"Its alive." Cory said clicking his segment spear into it's long position. The man withdrew his axe prepared to fight. Cory got in a throwing stance, but rotated quickly to sling the weapon at the pillar. It barely clipped the side of the stone taking a small but of stone off with a very light graze. A small paper cut appeared on Geb's bicep, same side as the pillar.
"So you found out?" He asked his fake smile dropping to a grim expression. "Usually it hums at a frequency that tells monsters to stay away. But around her it stops talking." He said pointing at me. I looked over to the pillar then back to him. "What does that even mean?" I asked him. "It means the time I've been told about has come, and a multiple world ending wars are being fought. The War of Gods, The War of Monsters, The War of Econ, The War of Stars, and then The War of Man. He pointed at Cory. "No matter the time line. He has to be in war." Geb raised his arm, runes began to glow, and an image shined hard against the floor like a hologram.
It was Cory, but in a bunch of thrown together armor, deep tattoos covering the side of his body holding a scythe. The image had three others to another show of Cory. The one to the first one's left was growing claws and bat wings, two tails and a small blue flame hovering over his face. Another Cory with gold weapons growing out of the ground, a partially gold robotic arm. And another more human Cory holding a large Revolver firing off into some unknown distance.
"What does that mean for me?" He asked stepping closer to inspect the highly detailed holograms. "Either I kill you and set off a chain reaction of unknown events. Or I bring you to the other events and set off a similarly unknown reaction of events." The man said with a sigh. "I can't bring myself to kill a fellow demigod so I guess we have to test the fates." He slung his axe into the hologram having Cory look up at him. "You might have to kill them yourself. Think you can do that?" He asked with a stern look.
"We will find out." Cory said picking the axe up to handing it to Geb. "We set out when the others get back." He said as their hands both locked on the axe mid exchange. "After they're explained the reason." He remarked and obtained his axe back.
As the others returned they started the briefing. "Now that you are all here. We have something to show you." There in the middle of the floor the hologram showed again. They all had questions but waited til the end of the explanation.
"So what about the pillar not talking since Gena is here?" Serena asked pointing out details I wanted the answer about myself. "Prometheus was an old being, almost as old as the runes on my arms. My father and Gaia used to be one in the same, but taking on the role of fathering snakes his presence was split around the world. I and this pillar were made from the blood of my father and body of my mother. Prometheus would be considered my brother in some ancient text. My older brother. He loved man more than I could even imagine. She holding the soul of that being. She is speaking to the part of my father in the stone, and after all this time, he is listening." Geb said placing his hands on my shoulder, the old black flames bellowed like flares out his runes, and the hologram shifted to the image of a beating heart made of deep orange fire. The first flame. "In hindsight she is now my sister." Geb said looking at her. "Your tears awoke me baby-sister." He said in a low voice to me.
"Slow down there. Going kinda fast." I said backing up a small bit. "Let's get back to the part with the wars and the extra Cory's." Marc said sharpening his arrow heads made from monster teeth of different sorts. "Alright. With her voice, she can awaken the gate to send us to the other realm, then we fix the war and onto the next world. There is a catastrophic event that will leak over to the other timelines in one of the wars. I don't know which one. The legend was told to me by some being I met shortly after the timelines were made and I had to became this guardian."
"Wow you are really talkative now." Cory said getting up to stretch. "Let's just get going, I'm tired of smelling this place." He flexed his new hand rotating the metal wrist. "I'm just ready to try this out." He said. Lexi stood up. "I'm ready too." She gave him a smile. Marc sheathed his arrows and sighed. "Not gonna let my sister show me up." He said. "I how there is better food where we are going." Toni said standing up and loading his guns with the bone rounds he had made for his guns. "Shut up, you love my cooking." Serena snapped as she tightened her arm band for her shield. "Guess we have no choice." Kaylyn said pulling Max up by his arm. Andrew hadn't even sat down when he came in.
"Its decided, we gotta save all the worlds now boys!" Cory said getting pumped. "And girls and girls." He said rather quickly not trying to have the pause. We all gave a cheer.
