I had lost the last thing I had gotten from my father. "Damn it. Why was I so careless?" I talked to my self. "Hey where did the girl go?" One of the officers asked me once the fire was out. Knowing that I couldn't explain the shoe wings I said the next best thing.

"She grabbed one of the keys from the desk before she got put in the cell. She hid it in her bra." I said with a perverted tone to get him to believe I was looking the whole time. "Oh well damn." He said while shaking his head.

Rivers came and unlocked my cell, and said: "If you want you and your friends can leave now. The finger prints don't match up." He gave me an expression as if he made that possible. "Thank you. Mr. Rivers." I said walking towards the cell door.

"Thomas." was what I heard from him. "What?" I asked confused. "My name is Thomas." He elaborated as he walked me to the cell with my friends.

The name made a memory come up. I was about eleven, and I was looking through a small photo booklet. "That man was with me the day I met your mother." A voice next to me said. I was holding a photo in my hand. Two guys holding a large fish, on a small boat. I remember flipping it over and seeing it signed:

Biggest fish -Michael M.

Held the net at least -Thomas R

I put it back in the booklet and...

The memory became fuzzy as I came back to the sound of my name.

"Cory, what happened?" Andrew asked me as soon as I came into sight. "Yeah, we smelled something burning." Serena chimed in. "Oh, Trish made a computer explode, during her escape." I answered them while Thomas unlocked the cell holding them.

I explained to them everything that happened while I was away from them. Even the tazed part, which Gen took the time to add insult to injury. "Woah. You got tazed? I'm Shocked to hear that" She said, making sure that the pun was caught. "Never mind that, lets just head back to camp. Maybe the nectar will be able to take care of the poison that is hurting Cory." Andrew said, while taking the lead towards the train station.

"Wait wait wait." I said stopping everyone. "Why is Andrew constantly worried about me, and trying to protect me?" I asked everyone one, in my normal confused tone. "Wait, Cory you don't know?" Gen and Serena asked in unison. "Know what?" I asked, tired of not having answers. "I'm gay." Andrew answered me.

"But I thought. You and Gen. But. Huh?" I stammered, confused, yet semi-understanding. "Don't you know a gay guy is a girl's best friend." Gen said, jumping on his arm in a friendly way. "I never told anyone at camp, and when I fought you. I kind of grew a crush on you." He said as he turned his head to keep away from my eyes. This made Gen turn her head, and let go of his arm. "What!?" She asked loudly.

"Hold it. Andrew I'm sorry, but I don't roll that way." I said trying to be nice about the rejection. "It's ok. Crushes are called that cause usually you get crushed emotionally if the person doesn't like you back." He said turning back to face me.

After finding out that little scenario, and being free from a cell. I felt better, less burdened, and less of a future problem. Although that soon stopped when five streets of walking made my sprained ankle start to hurt again. We walked Thirty or so blocks to reach the train station, the poison slowly creeping towards my heart. If it gets into my heart, it might be spread faster, or maybe even be fatal.

We laughed and talked on the way, telling stories or jokes to make the walk better. It soon ended with the small blare of an intercom: Boarding Kentucky. Now boarding for Kentucky.

"Who else was thinking of chicken?" I asked while looking back to them. They laughed as we made a bee line through the station and headed for our train. We made it there, but had to wait. Our train wasn't going to be hear for the next hour, so we sat down and rested. I dosed off while watching the large metal clock on one of the walls.

A distant heart beat was all I could hear for a few seconds. 'Bump Bump' Then a scuttling sound made its way into my presence. All I could see was dark lines that streaked across a red sky. 'Bump Bump' The sound came from above me. I looked up to see the lines swirling and darting around a moving part of the sky.
'Bump Bump' The sky seemed to move to the heart beat. The scuttling got closer and closer, it was a dark figure making its way to the heart beat above me. I realize it was my heart beat, and my poison. I moved to try to stop the figure, but black lines formed into chains.

They clung to me, chaining me into place. I wasn't going anywhere in this place. To make it worst it felt like it was the normal existence in my mind. Just like it has always been there.
Something was starting to form, it didn't feel friendly either. Moving like a dark creature, waiting to kill. Ready to kill actually.
The figure stopped moving, and spoke. "Ah so this will be my new vessel." A deep, barking voice said. The darkness and shadows parted away from the figure slightly, to show wolf's face. "Matthew." The voice whispered. I didn't understand if they were saying my last name or another name.
