"Tyler?"
I groaned and pulled a pillow over my head, trying to cover my face.
"Tyler, get up."
I groaned again and tossed the pillow aside, turning to look at Josh with sleepy eyes. "What...?"
Josh smiled and hit me with the pillow. "Get your lazy ass up."
I couldn't help but smile. "I don't wanna."
Josh sighed and ran his fingers through my hair carefully. "Lazy ass." Josh smiled.
I smiled back and buried my head into his chest, breathing in his earthy smell. It was nice. "Being lazy is fun." I mumbled.
Josh laughed and shook his head. "I'm going to take a shower." Josh got to his feet and disappeared into the bathroom.
I sighed and sat up, rubbing my eyes. Josh's room was a mess, most likely from last night(hUe hUe). I got up from the bed and got dressed, putting on one of Josh's oversized t-shirts and my pants. I stretched weakly and walked into the kitchen, quickly checking to see if anyone was there.
"Morning." I jumped and my head snapped quickly in the direction of the voice.
"M-morning.." I said nervously, trying to avoid eye contact with the person that just so happened to be Josh's mom.
"Tyler, don't be scared of me." She said soothingly, taking a sip of the coffee she had. "Sit down, lets talk."
I breathed out shakily, taking a seat at the table. "What are w-we gonna t-talk ab-about?"
She set her coffee down and leaned towards me slightly. "What are you and Josh?"
"Just f-f-friends ma'am." I said, trying to stay calm.
Her eyes narrowed. "You're lying."
"No, I'm not." I said quickly, my hands starting to go clammy.
She leaned back and took another drink of her coffee, her eyes softening. "Honey, it's okay to tell me." She smiled slightly. "I won't judge."
"Uhmm.." I said, my voice shaking and my heart pounding out of my chest. "Josh and I are dating..." I said quickly, looking down. I was ready for her to tell me to leave, or worse, to break up with him. But she didn't.
"That's great." She said with a smile and rested a hand on my shoulder. "I'm glad Josh has someone."
"I thought you where homophobic." I said with barely any thought.
"I'm not, Tyler." She said blankly, blinking her eyes. "I've never been."
"Oh." I said, blinking. "I'm sorry.
"Don't be." She said with a bright smile. "Don't let Josh's dad find out okay? He'll have your ass on a platter if he does find out."
I chuckled softly. "I won't let him find out."
She smiled and went over the kitchen sink, putting her mug away. "You want to make breakfast with me?"
"Sure." I said and for to my feet, walking to stand next to her.
"Get the pancake mix." She said and pointed to one of the cupboards. "It's in there."
I nodded and went the cupboard, reaching for the pancake mix. I handed it to her and grabbed a pan quickly.
"Thank you." She said and walked over the the freezer, grabbing a big package of bacon and walking back over. "You can cook this."
I smiled and took the package of bacon, setting the pan on the burner and turning the burner on. Josh's mom started on the pancakes, making the mix.
The burner got hot in only a few seconds and I tossed a few pieces of bacon into the pan. I smiled at the sizzle it caused and sighed, the smell of bacon filling the air.
"Tyler?"
I turned as I recognized the sound of Josh's voice. "Hey."
"Cooking breakfast, huh?" Josh asked, smiling all crinkly.
"Yep." I said with a smile and went back to cooking the bacon.
"Morning, mom." Josh said smiling at his mom.
"Morning Josh." She said, turning away from the pancakes and smiling at him. "Congratulations, by the way."
I flushed pink, focusing on the bacon. Josh seemed confused. "For what?"
"Congratulations on getting a boyfriend." She put extra emphasis on the word 'boyfriend' and laughed when she saw Josh blush.
"Y-you know about that?" He asked nervously, shooting me a quick glance.
"Mhm." She smiled. "Tyler told me. Don't worry about it, it's okay with me."
Josh let out a shaky sigh. "Okay good." He said and smiled. "Does dad know about it?"
"No and I'm not gonna tell him." She said, turning back to the pancakes and putting the mix on the griddle.
"Okay, thank you." Josh said with a sigh, walking over to me and hugging me from behind.
"Stop it, I'm trying to cook." I whispered with a small giggle.
"Hate to upset you but the bacon seems to be a bit..." He paused. "Burnt."
"Shit." I cursed under my breath, turning the burner off and sighing. "I'm sorry Mrs. Dun."
"Don't be sorry." She chuckled and grabbed the pan, sliding the bacon onto a plate. "Burnt bacon is the best kind of bacon."
Josh smiled and started setting out plates for all three of us. I helped his mom scoop the pancakes onto the plates, along with the bacon and glasses of orange juice.
Once everything was set up, we all sat down admiring the food in front of us.
"Looks delicious." Josh said, smiling. "Thank you mom, Tyler."
I nodded in response and started to cut up my pancakes, sighing as a beautiful smell emitted from them.
We ate in silence for the most part, only speaking when we had to.
Josh stopped eating for a moment and leaned over, whispering into my ear. "I love you."
I smiled and closed my eyes. "I love you too."
Josh reached down and grabbed my hand. I smiled even more and intertwined our fingers, my eyes still closed happily.
