"Thank you, for today I mean." I said to Grayson on the way home. I had taken off my shoes and drawn my legs up in my seat, laying back and relaxing as Gray drove us back home. I had had an amazing evening. We'd stayed out until long after it became dark. Grayson and I talking came naturally, eventhough he swore he was socially awkward.
Grayson looked over at me. "No problem, Shay." He said, smiling and clenching his jaw before turning back to the road again. I read that it was 11 pm on his phone. That meant that it was 4 pm in Australia.
"Gray?" I said, turning my head away from the window. He hummed, focusing on the road before us. "Can I...Skype my friends, when we get home? Just to talk to them, and also so that they can let everyone know that I'm doing fine." I explained, Grayson nodding. "Sure thing. I'm pretty sure we have Skype on our laptop. We just don't use it, so you can log into your account." He answered. I smiled in content. "Thanks, again, I guess." I felt kinda bad that they were giving me so much and I was barely any good to them.
"Hey, you never told me about your family back in Australia." Grayson mentioned, looking over at me. I looked back at him, surprised he was interested in that. "Tell me about them." He demanded. I parted my lips, slightly taken aback that anyone actually showed interest in my life.
"Well, uh... My mom's name is Kate. My dad's name is Shane. They live back in Sydney, where they own this resort.." I said shortly, leaving out the park where it was ranked five stars and included a safari park, bungalows, swimming pool and wellness center. I didn't want to change the way they looked at me, because no matter what my story and family history looked like, I wasn't materialistic at all.
"That's cool. Is it a big resort?" He asked. I nodded. "It's pretty big." I said softly, fiddling the bracelet Jason had once gifted me. Grayson nodded, putting his eyes back on the road as he sensed I was shaking off the subject.
The bracelet bugged me. I took it off and put it in my pocket, keeping in mind that I wanted to sell it once this was all over.
I sighed, looking out the window on my right and going over every possible way out of this in my head. But not thinking of one that was truly helpful... I just hoped and prayed my friends were awake and on their laptop.. or at least one of them.

I looked at Grayson from the corner of my eye, as he logged into the computer. There had always been a part of me that was jealous of people than tanned so quickly. Just somewhere along the way, I had managed to push that insecure part of me away, and learned to accept myself and my light skintone.
I was dreaming away, looking at him.. he was really good-looking, and although most good-looking guys I met were enormous dicks, both Grayson and Ethan were the opposite. And ugh, how his arms looked in that white T-shirt.. I'm harmlessly dreaming away. He'll never know.
"Shay?"
I snapped out of my thoughts, looking up at Grayson. He stared back at me with a expectant look. The computer screen showed Skype's home screen. "Oh," I cleared my throat as I leaned in to type my username and password.
As Skype loaded, I glanced at the time at the top of the screen. 11.34 pm. The time difference was 17 hours, which meant that it was now 4.34 pm in Sydney, and Saturday. At least one of them had to have their laptop laying around right now!
Statuses popped up on the screen, meaning I was logged in now. I cheered softly, making Grayson chuckle. I quickly sent Caroline and Hailey a message.
