Taylor's pov:
"Daddy wake up," I hear a soft voice say.
I flutter my eyes open and see it's Madisyn and Emily hovering above me.
"You're crying, please don't cry on our birthday," she whimpers.
"I'm sorry loves. Today has been five years since I lost your father," I feel a tear fall down my cheek.
"Daddy, show us the video," Emily ask.
"Sure girls," I smile.
I kiss both of their cheeks as I get up from bed. I walk downstairs while the girls follow behind me. I take a disc out from a little box that was placed on the mantel next to a picture of Shawn and I.
I take the disk out and put it in the DVD player and I see Shawn's face flash on the screen. I take the remote and press play.

Is this thing on? Oh okay it is. Hey Taylor, it's Shawn. I'm making this video just in case I don't make it when giving birth. I've been sick very lately having seizures and everything, but I didn't want to worry you. Dr.Whitesides said to me earlier this week that when I give birth, It's either me or the girls. I chose the girls because they have so much to live for, also I did it for you. Don't be afraid to move on from me, I just want to let you know I love you Taylor Michael Caniff. Me dating you was the best perfect mistake ever because you brought me joy. I'll die knowing that I was loved.

Shawn flashes his smile and looks down at his bump. He places his hand on his bump and look up to the camera.

I love all three of you very much , and just know I'll always be with you. I love you.

By the end of the video you can see Shawn's eyes being filled with tears. He blows a kiss to the camera and waves goodbye with a small tear rolling down his cheek. The video stops and I notice that my cheeks are wet with tears.
"Dad seemed like a very good person," Emily cooed while throwing her arms around me.
Madisyn joins and hugs me too. We sit there for a couple of minutes in silence, with Shawn's face still on the tv.
"Yep he was a good man, he loved y'all very much."
"Hey girls, go stay upstairs and sit with auntie Aaliyah real quick, I'm going out," I command them.
The girls walk upstairs to Aaliyah's room. Aaliyah moved in after Shawn's death to help me. I got addicted to anxiety pills and she helped me overcome my addiction. She dumped Hayes shortly after she found out he got another woman pregnant because he was disappointed that she couldn't have children. She loves the girls like her own and they have a really tight bond.
I get up from the couch and go to my room.I notice the empty side of the bed that Shawn use to sleep on. I sight as I throw on a pair of black skinny jeans and one of Shawn's old sweatshirts that smell like him. I grab my keys off the counter while Aaliyah and the girls wave me goodbye. I walk out to my car and get inside to go to Shawn's favorite flower shop. On the way there I think about how Shawn passed too fast. From him giving birth to our beautiful Emily and then his monitors going all crazy. Soon after that I see Dr. Whitesides come out and say he's gone, the love of my life was ripped away from me.I pull into the parking lot of the flower shop. I walk in and grab a bouquet of roses and pay the woman at the counter. I drive to the cemetery in where Shawn is buried. I take deep breaths as I walk to his grave. I rest the flowers on top and back away with a couple of tears dripping from my eyes. I go here often to talk to him but I know he'll never respond.
"Shawn, I miss you everyday. The girls ask for you more and more everyday and it breaks my heart you're not hear to see them grow up. I've watched your video over and over again to remember your smile and your beautiful brow eyes sparkled. I miss your small moans from when I used to pleasure you, and how you would always sing me Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 whenever it rained and we were driving. I miss your soft touch and everything about you. Even everyone misses you like Andrew and James. James finally had a child of his own and who knew that he would fall in love with Andrew. They also named him Shawn, after you," I giggle at the last part. "Cameron won full custody from Nash for his first daughter. His youngest son named Ryan, just turned four and him and this new guy named Matthew are together. Makes me miss us even more. Your parents miss you so much. Aaliyah, the girls, and I have lunch with them often. We miss you,"I start to cry again.
"Shawn I'm so glad I was your perfect mistake, because you were mine too."
