Anika paced nervously in her room. She twiddled her thumbs, trying to calm her nerves down. It had been an entire day since she had, had that incident with him. A day since she had seen him. Not that his absence fazed her, or something.

It was just the guilt, that had been gnawing, at the pit of her stomach ever since she learnt the truth. She knew it wasn't her fault. She hadn't intentionally invaded his personal space. But whatever it was, the damage had been done and she was dying to fix it. The guilt was eating her up and she couldn't stand it another second of it.

She had to go talk to him. Tell him that she was sorry. But that was where she was stuck. For some reason, just the thought of facing him was making her go berserk.

She felt queasy, and her palms dampened with sweat. Good lord!!! She was just preparing to confront him, and this was her plight. What would happen when she would actually be standing in front of him?

Damn Shivaay Singh Oberoi!! For being so icy, intimidating and stonewalled all at the same time.

She inhaled shakily. Scary or not it had to be done. Doing the right thing was always tough. But that's what made it count. Taking a determined breath, Anika took a decision.

She was going to do it. Tough or easy, scary or intimidating. She was going to confront him. Make him listen to what she had to say.

How hard could it be!? He was after all a human right? He has got to have a heart. Besides, who knew, maybe he would accept her apology like a gentleman. Maybe they would actually have a civilized conversation for once, without mocking or wanting to rip each other throats out.

Well she would mock, all Shivaay did was shoot her icy glares, which alone spoke volumes, she personally felt.

Cramming, as much as positive thoughts as she could, She took a step daringly out of her room. Keeping up a brisk pace, she made it to his room, fighting the urge to bolt right back into the safety of her room, the entire way.

Placing a hand on her heart, as a last effort to calm down. She slowly pushed the door open. It slid open without a sound, which for some reason made it feel like a good sign. She tip-toed in and closed the door quietly. She scanned the room afraid he might pop out of somewhere suddenly, giving her already faint heart, an attack.

The room was surprisingly empty. She frowned. Well this was unfortunate. She sighed , feeling strangely drained. She had mustered a lot of courage to make it so far, only to be met by a silent empty room.

Sighing she turned to go, she would just have to come in another time. Just as she reached the door. She heard a soft thud, followed by cursing.

She turned around slowly and walked towards the pool. She hadn't checked there. Pressing herself into a wall, she craned her neck, trying to catch a glimpse without being seen.

Sitting right at the edge of the pool, with a bunch of papers and a Bluetooth in his ear was Shivaay. His legs were propped up and an empty coffee cup lay at his side. He literally seemed to have gotten his office down here.

Just the sight of him, sent her nerves into a frenzy. A strangled sound suddenly burst out of her. She clamped her hand on her mouth, mortified. Shivaay's head snapped up. And his narrowed blue eyes locked on hers.

Anika gulped. He looked at her for a second before turning back to his work. Anika stepped out of the wall awkwardly.

He shuffled through his papers, clearly unfazed by her presence. She stood there, her hands clasped tightly behind her, for a what seemed like an hour, but only a minute.

She shuffled, shifting her weight to one leg. Shivaay continued to mind his own business.

" Ahem" Anika cleared her throat loudly. No response. He didn't even flinch.

Anika frowned. This was not going well. " Shivaay?". Silence
