melanie had been completely pissed off to the point where she felt like attacking everyone besides tyler. she hated how joshua was, how he acted, what he did, and she hated how tyler just took it.

"if you can't learn how to act than i'm taking tyler to move in with me! he doesn't need to be around this dumb ass shit you do every night." she said with a roll of her eyes, her hands on her hips.

tyler pouted as he looked up at the girl, eyebrows furrowed and lips jutted out in a cute little pout.

he didn't agree to this.

"why are you acting like he's a child that you birthed? he's twenty one, he can make his own decisions and you can stop acting like a needy girlfriend." joshua shot back, not bothering to listen to any words that left melanie's lips.

the girl groaned and didn't say anything, instead she left the house with a slam of the door and paced around the building until she fully calmed down, leaving tyler and josh to sit in the dining room in silence.

"you okay baby peach?" josh asked the boy who had still been pouting.

his head slightly shook from being suddenly asked a question bringing him back to reality, and his eyes raised questioningly as he stared doe-eyed at the blond.

"what?" tyler asked with a small tinge of pink covering his cheeks and highlighting the skin that rested there.

with a chuckle joshua shook his head in a teasing manner and looked back at the smaller boy. "i asked if you are alright." he said once more.

"oh... yeah i'm fine, a little out of it but i think it's from lack of sleep last night and confusion on what just happened." he said with a small giggle, looking back down at his plate that only had a few more pieces of waffle on it.

the blond watched the boy with a smile and sat down next to him. both of them saying nothing as they shared small pieces of food off the younger boy's plate. the silence wasn't uncomfortable, if anything it was quite peaceful.

"hey joshie?" tyler asked shyly as a random thought appeared in his head.

"yes?" the older boy asked as a response to the other.

"can we get a kitty? i'm very lonely when you leave at night and i think a cat would keep me company when i'm all alone." the brunet bargained, as he leaned back against the chair with his hands on his stomach, rubbing in small circles from being full.

josh hummed and slowly began to nod his head. "i think we can get a cat, baby peach." he answered without hesitation, causing tyler to smile a bright wide smile and quickly press a kiss to his cheek.

he was just happy he wouldn't have to be alone at night anymore.
