it shouldn't have hurt this bad.
tyler shouldn't have been sniffling beneath his sheets as he heard the noises that came from josh's room.
once again joshua came home drunk with a red headed girl wrapped around his arm. she was beautiful, tyler admitted.
a skinny body with all the right curves, a nice smile even when she was drunk, brown eyes accented by long lashes and the perfect amount of eyeliner that was winged.
she seemed like a fun girl, which was both the things tyler wasn't.
he wasn't a girl and he wasn't fun.
he hated parties, he hated getting drunk to endure the hangover the next day, and he hated being surrounded by people he didn't know.
lifting his head out from beneath the duvet, he grabbed his phone off the charger and called melanie, hoping she would pick up since it was around one in the morning.
"angel, what's wrong?" melanie asked as soon as she picked up, voice laced with concern even if she sounded extremely tired. "is it happening again?" the girl asked once she could slightly hear the noises in the background.
"it hurts, melanie... why me?" tyler asked with a sniffle. he could hear the girl shuffling around her room, whispering something to what he assumed was her girlfriend, and the jingle of keys.
"i know angel, i know. it hurts now, but one day you'll meet someone so much better than josh, who will treat you like the angel you are." the girl said as she walked to her car.
"but i want josh. i want him so much, but i know he doesn't want me, and i hate myself so much for still feeling this way." the boy said with another sniffle.
"i know sweetie, i'm on my way to your house right now, so i'm going to hang up but hang in there okay, ty?" melanie sweetly said to the crying brunet who nodded before sadly chuckling at himself.
"okay." he said before hanging up, not bothering to say bye since he would see her soon anyways.
tyler let out a few more cries before he attempted to calm himself down. he didn't want to overwhelm himself to the point where he got sick, because the last thing he wanted to do was throw up all over himself.
the boy took deep breaths, and rocked himself lightly as he counted up to ten before counting down to one. he repeated that until his door was opening and a pajama covered melanie was walking through his door.
"aww my poor baby." she cooed, placing her shoes neatly next to the door before climbing into the large bed with the small boy.
melanie wrapped her arms around tyler's petite frame, and placed his head on her chest as she ran her hand through his hair. she paused when tyler moved around a bit to get comfortable, and once he did she started to hum a random tune that made its way to her mind.
as of right now, josh was dead to melanie.
