tyler sat on the floor of the living room with his legs crossed over one another's, the television was playing newer episodes of spongebob, as the boy blew bubbles with his strawberry flavored bubblegum. a giggle surpassed his lips as the bubble popped, sticking to his skin around his lips, but easily being wiped off.
"candy bear, you're gonna get all messy if you keep playing with your bubblegum." melanie softly pouts as she moves behind him to run her fingers through his soft strands of hair.
tyler shakes his head no and continues blowing the bubbles, letting out a small whine when the older girl pops his bubble. "hey, that was an amazing bubble! ooh, can we watch the amazing world of gumball?" the brunet asks with his eyes wide, lips slightly jutted out causing the look of innocence to come out strong.
"of course!" melanie says before she's changing the channel from spongebob to the other cartoon.
she was honestly quite glad that the boy wanted to watch the other show instead of the one he had been watching. the annoying yellow sponge wasn't exactly her best friend, but she would never interrupt tyler's show time.
the boy hummed in content when the show came on showing the most lovable characters darwin and gumball. he giggled at the idiocy showed by the two characters, and momentarily stopped chewing on his gum as he got so sucked into the tv show.
two hours went by before melanie was getting called off to work at the hospital, she was a nurse for an obgyn, and josh was arriving him. melanie made sure to glare daggers at the back of his head.
melanie made sure to whisper something to him before she left, but tyler wasn't paying attention to anything besides the mess that gumball got himself into.
the boy jumped when a large hand was pressed onto his shoulder in a gentle manner. "hey baby peach, how are you?" josh asked as he took a seat next to the brunet who's eyes were sparkling with happiness.
"i'm great joshie! i'm just watching some shows, it's really funny... you wanna join me?" he asked sweetly.
the blond cooed at the boy tucked into his side, and relaxed into the couch before nodding. "sure i'd love to join you, peach."
