it was another one of those nights where joshua went out to party, often finding someone who would be willing to sleep with him the first chance they got. the blond had asked tyler if he wanted to go, but tyler didn't want to be thrown to the side like a toy if someone interesting and attractive caught his eye, it wasn't exactly the best feeling.
the smaller boy had been laying down on his bed with his back to the door, and his front facing the window that gave a view of the city lights. his hands were playing with the little kitties ears, gently rubbing the skin behind them and giggling softly as the kitten bean to fall asleep, stumbling as his body gave out to rest.
"jihoonie, you're so cute." the brunet smiled as he stopped petting the sphynx just for the kitten to whine and push his head closer to tyler's hand, which he carried on petting.
after a while of watching the hairless cat tyler picked the name jihoon because of the meaning. the name jihoon had meant wisdom, purpose, ambition, and more which the brunet felt was fitting for the cat, as he knew that the kitten would give him a purpose to not be so sad when it came to the nights like this.
it was silent in the room besides jihoon's purrs that were growing louder the more he got comfortable, until the front door closed a little loudly and drunken voices were heard crystal clear. tyler sighed and pulled the cat close, pressing his nose into the kittens neck and blinking rapidly to keep the tears from falling.
because yes, he was feeling oddly emotional again but he didn't want to cry.
the white and grayish-blue cat perked up on the bed and moved to stand at the edge, his head titled to the side as he listened to the conversation before he hopped off and ran out to the living room. tyler sighed and stood up to go fetch the cat once he heard various amounts of curses spewing from two mouths.
once out of his room the brunet saw the kitten sitting on the edge of the kitchen island, hissing lowly to the ground as he stared at the intruder he didn't recognize. his hisses and meows got louder as the random girl tried to hit him away calling him an "oversized rat" and an ugly creature.
"he's not a rat and he's not ugly! stop calling him that." tyler pouted as he picked up jihoon and rested his head against his chest, petting back his ears and cradling his small body.
"oh hey tyler." josh barely said as he tried to smile, his eyes were bloodshot red, his eyelashes were wet and clamped together, and he looked completely out of it.
tyler's eyebrows furrowed as he subtly looked back and fourth between the girl and josh. he could easily tell that the blond was messed up on several levels, he was definitely high and he definitely was drunk, yet the girl looked no where near close to being either, and her words were fully clear.
tyler didn't like this. he felt uneasy, and not just because josh was about to sleep with someone again.
"i think you should go home, i'll take care of joshua." tyler suggested, looping his arm around the older boy, and carefully moving him closer towards his side.
the girl rolled her eyes and flicked back her raven black hair, she let out an annoyed huff as she crossed her arms and stared daggers at tyler.
"why the hell should i leave when he specifically wanted me to come over for his personal needs? how about you go away and mind your own business, and i'll stay with him and take care of him properly." she said, moving to push the boy away but backing up when jihoon hissed and scratched at her hand with his paw that had his claws out.
this obviously angered the female. "and take your ugly ass rat with you." she said with a glare.
tyler scoffed and kissed jihoon's ear. "i said to stop calling him ugly, now leave my house before i call the police to handle you." the brunet threatened as the kitten continued to hiss.
with a scoff and a few harsh words the girl left and tyler turned to help the blond into his bed. jihoon had been sitting at the edge of josh's bed as the small boy started to take off the older boys shoes and socks, he gently covered the boy with the soft blankets and sighed before he decided to lay next to him.
arms wrapped around his waist, and curls tickled his nose as joshua got comfortable with his head on tyler's chest. the kitten let out a meow before moving to lay on the opposite side of tyler's neck.
