Closing the door to the locker room behind him, Maddox Reign didn't expect to see Abel Rogers sitting on a bench right outside the building with an impatient scowl on his face.
Maddox raised his eyebrows and scoffed to himself before he reached into his pocket and pulled out his car keys as he passed him by.
It was already 8 at night and practice seemed to have dragged on forever. He didn't have time to entertain Abel or anyone else for that matter.
"X." Abel had suddenly called out to him.
At the sound of his voice Maddox stopped in his tracks and slightly turned back, he could hear Abel let out a small exhalation of air.
"Can't wait for your party Saturday night." He sarcastically shouted out with a growing smirk.
Maddox turned around to face him, hands in his pockets, his Nike duffle bag slung over his left shoulder and a blank uninterested expression on his sharp face.
"You're not invited." Maddox sharply replied at his old best-friend who slightly laughed in amusement.
Abel licked his lower lip and gave a mere shrug, "I mean, we'll see about that."
Maddox drew in a sharp breath before turning back around to continue his walk to the school's student parking lot.
He could've argued, it's not like it would've been there first time fighting but, he was just to exhausted to even do that.
A large part of Maddox knew that Abel would show up to his birthday party Saturday night, and he also knew there would be trouble if he did.
Maddox took his mind off of it though since he was tired from basketball practice. Running endless laps around the court and doing 20 minutes worth of suicides really took its toll on the kid.
Before he reached the exit gate to enter into the student parking lot, Maddox couldn't help but hear something coming from one of the restrooms nearby.
His ears perched at the sound of a muffled cry and he was drawn to find out what it was.
He readjusted his bag over his shoulder before he continued to investigate the troublesome noise.
Closing in near the restrooms, he realized it was coming from the boys bathroom.
From all the horror movies and video games he had played and seen Maddox knew he should've walked away and said fuck it.
Still, he said fuck it and opened the door slowly before taking a quiet step in and onto the slippery linoleum.
The noises had became quiet grunts and small muffled gasps.
Walking past the stalls slowly the sound had obviously gotten louder and he realized someone was having sex on the other side of the stalls by the sinks and blow dryers.
He stared up at the ceiling and clenched his eyes shut before slowly peeking around the stall.
Maddox's eyes quickly widened when he was staring into the mirror only to have a pair of brown eyes staring back at him.
