It would be difficult to explain how she managed to stay expressionless.
There were no traces of either remorse or guilt clouding her dark brown eyes. There was nothing in them except for distaste towards the weak.
Arabella couldn't find herself to empathize with the broken woman crying across from her at the kitchen table or the man beside her trying his hardest to keep it all together.
Instead, Arabella was rather bored and annoyed with the events that had unfolded only a few minutes ago.
Laura now knew the truth about the ring she had so proudly wore on her finger for the past 10 years.
Arabella watched it all happen.
She had watched her father timidly explain what he had done and she watched his wife try her hardest not to feel betrayed.
Amusing to say the least but, Arabella was still unsatisfied with the outcome.
Arabella let out a dramatic sigh.
"I'm bored." She monotonously commented as she leaned forward in her seat. Arabella rested her elbows on the tabletop and placed both her hands under her chin.
"You can go," Anthony muttered to Arabella who instantly shook her head.
"No," Arabella replied simplistically.
Anthony snapped his eyebrows together, "Arabella-"
"Laura deserves a heartfelt apology." Arabella slightly gazed over at him and smiled.
Anthony extended his arm towards her and then pointed at Laura, "Apologize to her then."
A sneer escaped Arabella's pouty lips.
"I was talking about you." Arabella cleared it up with a scrunch of her nose and a sweet-tinge in her usual brash voice. She let a smirk tug at the corners of her lips.
Anthony clenched his strong jaw tightly and scrutinized Arabella. Visibly upset that she suggested such a thing when he had already asked his wife for forgiveness.
Laura shook her head slowly, "It's okay." She sniffled.
Arabella switched her gaze to Laura and in a turn of events, reached over to touch her forearm.
Arabella ran her soft tan hand along the woman's warm rosy skin, "Cheer up Laura."
"That's enough." Anthony abruptly cut in, "Arabella we need to talk."
Arabella leaned back in her seat and relaxed her body. She folded her arms against her chest and let that same emotionless expression reign over.
"About?"
Anthony bit down on the inside of his cheek, "We need to talk in private like-"
Laura snapped her head upwards, "Arabella I'm sorry." The sudden apology had caught both Arabella and her father off guard.
Arabella stared at her with a blank expression but was surprised by her outburst on the inside.
The eerie look Arabella was displaying sent chills down Laura's spine.
