She was tired, her body was coming down from a heightened-sense of euphoria, an experience that had tired her out and made her lose feeling between and around her thick thighs.

She lay flat on her back, eyes wandering in the darkness of his bedroom trying their hardest to find something to focus on, but it was all too dark.

The intense session that they had shared together, the entanglement of their separate bodies and the interconnection of their limbs left her sexually gratified but also, feeling raw.

Her dainty fingertips hovered over the fresh bite mark above her left breast, the broken skin and the indentation of his teeth had left their mark on her.

She lightly tapped the wound and gasped.

Maddox, who was lying face down on his stomach, raised his head when he heard the small whimpering noise she had made.

She couldn't see him, but she could feel him shifting himself around in the bed.

"Should we start on your homework?" He suddenly asked her as he sat up in his bed, he stretched his body quickly before he extended his arm on over to the nightstand.

He turned on the lamp, the bedroom now cast with long shadows and dark corners.

She glared at him, light brown eyes watching him as he pulled on his denim pants. He ruffled his hair, pushing his hands through it and letting out an exhausted sigh.

Covering herself in his plain white blankets, she wrapped them around herself before climbing out of his bed.

Pulling on her own clothes, she finished and continued to watch him search for his t-shirt.

To her, he seemed tense and angry but also, erratic.

"You were aggressive tonight..." Her soft voice announced and then trailed off as she wrapped both arms around her torso, "I liked it."

Maddox slightly turned his head back to look at her, he acknowledged her soft-spoken review of his performance with a half-smile.

He found his shirt, sprawled on the floor by his closet door, he rushed to put it on.

"Are you okay?" She asked him, nervously biting down on her lower lip after she did so.

Her sudden question threw him off.

Maddox stood tall before her.
Griffin Carlyle was a mere 5 feet, 2 inches tall, he was still an entire foot taller than her.

Size, however, didn't intimidate her, but it wasn't as if he were trying to.

Maddox disregarded her question and walked passed her, he needed to retrieve his Spanish notes so that he could continue to tutor the high-school senior like he had been for the past week or so.

She scratched her head, the sound of her acrylic fingernails scrapping against her scalp momentarily filled the room up with noise.

"Is it because you're the team's captain now?" She pried on, watching as he dropped onto the floor with his knees and rummaged through a stack of papers inside of his backpack.
