it would've been better if she died but being expelled is okay too

"You're still overreacting like always." Maddox calmly said with complete disregard to the excruciating pain that followed whenever a muscle on his face would move in the slightest.

Nina, who was reading a book on the couch inside of her bedroom slightly stared up from it, her blue green eyes locked onto her sons hazel ones that she could barely notice due to all the popped blood vessels turning the whites of his eyes red or light pink.

"Have you seen yourself?" She reiterated with a scoff, "They gave you a concussion."

Maddox nonchalantly shrugged his shoulder, "I'm fine though, I told you I don't care."

Nina sat up straight and calmly placed her book atop of the coffee table before her, "I'm suing the school not those kids X, relax."

Maddox shook his head, "There's no need to sue! I started the fight I'm the one who instigated-"

"X, you started a fight with Abel not three other kids." She firmly stated as she got up.

Maddox groaned from the frustration his mother was bringing him, "You've got to be fucking kidding me."

Nina's eyes widened in surprise as she swiftly got up from the couch, "You want to use that language with me again? I dare you." She warned him hoping he'd test her patience.

He clenched his jaw and slowly shook his head once he felt the pain travel throughout his nerves, "I'm going to bed." He calmly remarked turning around to leave her room trying to keep himself from wincing.

She ran her hands through her caramel colored hair and let out a soft noise of utter annoyance as she allowed herself to fall back onto the ivory couch once more.

The door to the restroom opened and out came Stanford, freshly out of the shower with a towel hanging around his neck. Nina laughed noticing he was already wearing the ruby red silk pajamas she had gotten him earlier that day.

"Nice pj's." She muttered pointing at her own sapphire colored ones. Stanford gave his wife a slight smile as he allowed himself to take a seat on the edge of their bed, "What's up with X?"

Nina softly sighed, "He thinks it's a bad idea I want to sue his school."

Stanford slightly laughed, "Well I mean-" He stopped mid-sentence and cleared his throat once he saw the angry scowl on her face.

Nina held a hand up to cut his sentence off, "It's just, I mean, I don't like to see my baby hurt." She admitted watching as her husband was rubbing his wet black hair dry with the towel.

"It wasn't the school who hurt him though." Stanford reminded as he got back up to hang the towel up to dry on the edge of the door.

Nina walked towards their shared Californian king sized bed and sat down on her side,"They barely did anything while my son was getting his skull fractured by three assholes."

"Babe." He scoffed at her with a mischievous look.

"God, I wish I could skin them alive myself or something." She admitted pulling the sheets back from her bed so she could get into them.

"X is a big boy, he even admitted to starting the fight."

"Big boy?" Nina repeated after him in disbelief, "His face is fucked up and he could've been blinded or what if they would've made him forget things or or or-" She stopped mid-sentence when her husband placed his hand on her shoulder and squeezed it.
