Meeting the girls

Saturday morning came and I found myself at the orphanage again. I walked inside to be greeted by at different woman than last time. She asked for my name and then led me to a small room with a little table and chairs, and some toys. She dropped me off and went to go retrieve one of the girls... I think Addison. After a few minutes I saw a little head pop into the door looking around. Her little eyes landed on me and widened. With this she opened the door all the way and made her way to me.
"Hi... my names Addy!" She said with excitement
"Hi I'm Shawn! Nice to meet you Addy"
The next couple interviews went well but no one caught my eye. Finally after waiting again for another girl, the lady came on holding a small tired looking girl.
"So this is Everley, she just woke up from a nap thus her being tired... enjoy!" She set the little girl down on the floor and left. Everley just sat there for a few moments rubbing her dark brown eyes. She finally looked up at me.
"Hi Everley." Her profile said she was super shy and wasn't a fan of new people so I took it slow and calm. She waved her small hand at me.
"My names Shawn." I told her so she knew who I was again she just waved but with a small smile this time. After she really warmed up to me, we played for a little bit and then our session was over. Another took Everley out of the room, and I was taken back to the front desk.
"See anyone you are interested in Mr.Mendes?"
"Umm, ya actually Everley" we talked for a little bit I had to meet her two more times before I could officially adopt her but I was willing to do so. Before I left she gave me some paperwork to fill out so we could start in the adoption process asap.
