Out and About

The next morning, Everley came in and woke me up like usual. Her and I snuggled for a little bit before I told her to go play for a while so I could get Nolan and myself ready. I walked over to his crib to see him already awake and grinning at me. His gummy smile was something I could look at all day. I got him changed into a new diaper and then I put him in a light blue onesie with clouds on it, grey pants, and a grey hat. After I got him ready I fed him some formula and got myself showered and clothed in the span of 10 minutes, a new record I was quite proud of. I got him situated underneath his play mat while I got Everley ready. I put her in a blue shirt with a cloud that had a smiling face on it and some grey leggings, I thought it would be cute if they matched for our outing today. After everyone was ready, I took a quick picture of my two babies in matching outfits and then got everyone situated in my car. Then, we were off  to a little breakfast place for believe it or not, breakfast. 

Breakfast was really nice, no one recognized me so I got to spend some time with my munchkins out in public. Eve and I colored on the kids menu together while Nolan babbled to him self as he played with a hanging toy I put on his carseat. After breakfast I decided that it would be fun to take Eve to the park so she could run around and play for a few hours and interact with some other kids other than her brother. The sun was bright and warm as I sat and watched her curls bounce when she ran around or went down the slide. Nolan was curled up on my chest taking a nap, I knew he was going to wake up soon from hunger, but I enjoyed the snuggly moment. As I sat there, I set my background on my phone to the picture I took this morning.

We must have been at the park for hours when Eve walked up to me complaining that she was hungry and tired. So everyone got back into the car. Deciding for my toddlers sake who was trying to keep her eyes open in her car seat, to just to do the drive through at McDonalds so she could go home and take a nap. 

After she woke up, her and I played while Nolan played on his mat, I made dinner that evening and we watched a movie. I went to sleep that night feeling really happy and that I was finally in a comfortable routine.
