Getting Better

Now that I had learned that Eve had the magic tough with her brother, the days got smoother and I felt like I was finally getting the hang of everything... Except for nighttime. I was still struggling. Everley needed her sleep and so did I, but this boy would not stop his screaming. At this point I had fed him and changed him twice and had given up to just lay in bed. I started humming to ease my mind but apparently it had helped to ease Nolans too. Almost immediately he had quieted down to hear the soft tune, I decided to actually start singing a little hoping that would get him to stop crying all together along with put him back to sleep. Two renditions of Never Be Alone later, the little guy had finally called asleep and so did I. Surprisingly, he only woke up one more time because he was hungry and was out the rest of the night. At 7:00 am on the dot, Everley came bounding into my room and on top of me.

"Daddy!"

"Hey sweet pea," I said trying to wake up and open my eyes.

"Daddy, I no wake up! No scary no Nolan!"

"Thats so good hun! I'm so proud of you!" I said snuggling her into me. 

The rest of the day was really fun. It was simple but fun. Everley sat on the counter helping make pancakes for breakfast. She loved putting in all the ingredients and mixing it together, every time a new ingredient went into the bowl she would look up at me and smile. After breakfast and lots of playtime, Eve and I got Nolan to smile for the first time. He gurgled away and watched Eve run around and play. I made sandwiches for lunch and then chicken for dinner. Sounds boring but it was awesome. That night I put Everley to bed and then gave Nolan a bath. He splashed around in the soapy water with and endless smile and lots of babbling. After his bath I got him dressed is some bear jammies and set him in his crib. I set my phone next to the crib and played some of my music, I don't think I have ever seen a little person fall asleep so fast. I went to bed with plans for the next day, and I was very excited.

Its the long awaited chapter!!! yay... sorry I took so long to update. someone found this and I'm not too fond of them reading any of this, but I finally got the courage to update. Hope it wasn't too terrible...
