Getting ready

I met Everley for the second time and fell more in love with the small little girl. I also got most of the paperwork turned in so all I had to do was prepare for Eve and take her home!
I needed to get Everley's room put together and get all the necessities. I called up my friend Laila to help me out, she was really good a decorating and she already had a little kid as her own. We agreed to meet at IKEA to pick out furniture. As we walked through the maze of tables and beds I picked out a changing table/dresser thing and a bed that started out as a crib and then could become a toddler bed. We got a few other things and then went home to drop them off before getting other things for Everley. Laila had us go to Home Depot next to pick out paint. Everley's profile said that her favorite color was green. In the end we picked out a light sage green. Back at the apartment the two of us began painting Everley's room. Once the walls were coated in green we began putting all the furniture together. A few hours later we were finally done. I ordered us a pizza and Laila helped me put together a list so I would know what I had to purchase tomorrow for my little girl.

._.The next day._.

I started off my day as usual, waking up, showering, and breakfast. I was in a bit of a rush though because I needed to get everything on my list today, for someone from the adopting agency was going to come scout out my place and make sure it was a suitable place for Everley. So off to Target I went to get the majority of the things on my list. As soon as I walked in a couple of girls recognized me and wanted a picture. Once they were satisfied and left I continued to grab a cart and head straight to the baby section of the store.

Things to buy:

- Diapers

- Sippy cups

- Blankets and sheets

- toys LOTS of toys

- Pacifiers

-Clothes

I made my way down the list and finally I reached clothes. This was going to take the longest! I searched through and picked out a few outfits before giving up and heading to the checkout line. After that I headed home to drop everything off, then I was back on the road to go see miss Everley again!
