Getting closer

I got to the adoption place and signed in. The old lady waved me into the sitting area to wait until it was time for me to see Everley. After a few minutes she walked me into a room that I would meet Everley again in. She then left and went to go get my little girl! I sat thrumming my fingers on my thigh until I saw her little head full of fawn hair peek through the door. After having a few visits she was finally getting used to me. When she saw me she quickly came up to me and hugged my leg. I then picked her small body up.
"Hey sunshine!"
"Hi!" She giggled back. For the next few hours we played with dolls and then with cars. Finally she was ready for a nap, and that was my cue to have to leave her again.

I got back to the apartment and saw the mess of bags and boxes. I took all the boxes from the furniture and took them to the bin at the back of the complex. Next, I decided I should clean all the blankets, sheets, clothes and eating/drinking items. Soon enough there was a knock at my door, the agency was here. I had all the toys in a bin, sippy cups in a cabinet, and blankets in her bed. I checked everything off in my head as I moved to go open the door.

Time skip

I took a long breath as I sat in my couch. The meeting had went well and now, I was going to be able to bring Everley home for sure!

I was super excited, ms.Jensin said that I was probably going to be able to go home with Sawn. He was super nice... I didn't be shy around him either!
