A week had passed since Everley came to live with me. We grew closer and closer everyday. I was happy to call her my daughter and I couldn't wait for her to call me dad. I also had introduced her to the fans, I posted a picture and they all went crazy and then we did a live stream. Everley was finally getting comfortable in my apartment every night she became closer and closer to sleeping the whole night in her bed.
It was 3 am when I heard crying come from the door next to me. Great another nightmare I thought to myself. I got out of bed and sluggishly walked to E's room. I found her sitting in the dark, clutching her valuables, with tear ridden cheeks.
"What's happening sweet pea?"
"Daddy!" That's when she said it. The word that made my whole world shift. A big smile spread across my face. "I-I had a scawy dweam!" I was pulled out from my thoughts upon hearing my daughters shaking voice.
"Not again! Do you want to come sleep with me?" My question was answered when she stood up from her sitting position and held her arms up. I slid her on to my hip and made my way back to my room.
"Shawn?"
"What?"
"Can I call You daddy?"
"Of course!" I kissed her cheek and sat her on the right side of the bed. After getting into our cuddle position I said the words I had been waiting to say.
"I love You Everley."
"I wove you too daddy!" And with that I fell asleep with the biggest smile.
