It was rough. Everley was up all night either leaning over the bowl I had in the room or the bowl in the bathroom. I could barely keep my eyes open, you'd think having a whimpering, burning toddler cuddling up to you in different ways would help keep you awake but oh man it wasn't. Every time I thought I had gotten her close to sleep she was sitting up again saying she was going to be sick. AND, on top of all that, all the movement the two of us were making, was keeping Nolan pretty restless himself. I loved my kids, I really did but this moment, this night was making me question this. Why in the world did I do this by mylself.

As daylight broke through the window in my room the condo had finally gone quiet. She had finally caught a break and after a warm bath and some tylonel she finally felt able to close her eyes and sleep. Hopefully when she woke up I could start her on some water and maybe some soup. I wanted to drift off myself but I knew Nolan was going to wake up soon and I wanted to be there when it first happened so his crying wouldn't wake up Everley. So I sadly got out of bed, washed my hands and sat on the couch awaiting my other baby to wake up.

It only took 5 minutes for me to hear the beginning of his cries, after seeing me stand above his crib they were quckly silenced and replaced with a smile.

"You hungry bub?" It was rethorical but I still had to ask the tiny human. I picked him up and brought him into the kitchen to make a bottle and mash a banana. He sat in his highchair watching me intently as I moved fluidly through the kitchen preparing him breakfast. He immediatley dived into his banana and finished it quickly and whined at me almost demanding more.

"Grapes next? How about some apple?" He smiled at me so I cut up more fruit for him to munch on. He seemed content on what was in front of him so I took this as an okay to go peek my head in on my pale one. She was still fast asleep but had moved so she was completely on top of my pillow breathing in its scent. Poor thing.

The day was easy. I played with Nolan and fed soup to Everley and made sure she was sipping on her water and gatorade regularly. Mahognany eventually picked up Nolan so he would be out of germ city and Eve could roam the house a little more freely. Even if it was just moving from my bed to the couch. The two of us spent the night in and out of naps and watching Octonauts. I made some more soup and a slice of toast to eat, only half of everything got eaten. But hey it was progress from the few bites she had eaten throughout the day.

Everley ended up wanting to sleep in her own bad that night complaing of me being way too hot, but she demanded that she take one of my pillows with her so she still felt like she was with me and I happily obliged.
