Chapter 14: The Bow and Arrow

Snow's POV

I saw Jett walking out of the classroom. Mukhang galit siya. He even slammed the door behind him. Alam kong nakabalik na sila. I think they returned early this morning. Their mission lasted more than two weeks, not the longest but definitely one of the most dangerous.

Naalala ko pa ang sinabi ni Collin bago sila umalis. They have to go to Augury to spy yet another attack. Hindi na sila nagsawa. Ano nanaman kayang binabalak nila sa mga panahong ito. I hope hindi kasama si Ariela sa mga yon.

Speaking of Ariela, nasaan na ba siya? Hinanap ko siya sa office ni Mr. Miller kanina pero wala naman siya doon. I thought doon siya pupunta, or did she lie? Mukhang ayaw niya lang kasing pumunta sa clinic. Augh, she's so stubborn, really. She's the girl version of Jett.

Pumasok ako sa room kung saan nanggaling si Jett. I almost shriek when I saw Ariela in there. What is she doing here? Wait! Nangaling dito si Jett. Did they saw each other? Of course, dummy! Mukhang alam ko na ang dahilan kung bakit galit siya.

"Ariela?" I asked hesistantly. Nakayuko kasi siya while standing few meters from the doorway. She's bitting her lips as if trying hard not to cry. "What happened?"

Maaring alam ko na ang dahilan kung bakit siya nangkakaganyan but I still want to hear from her. Or maybe not. Wala siyang balak magsalita kapag ganito na ang sitwasyon. I know her that much. She has the tendency of keeping things to herself.

Ariela tries to smile but she's failing. I could see the sadness there and guilt? I can't help but notice how pale she is. All her prohibited trainings are taking revenge.

"You need to go to the clinic." I'm not asking for permission, I'm demanding that she'll come with me.

"I'm fine—"

"You're not!" my voice raise. "Ariela, please. Kahit ngayon lang isipin mo muna ang sarili mo."

"But I want—"

"Ariela, if you don't want to get paralyzed for the next few days sasama ka sa akin."

I wouldn't have a second though na gimitin ang kapangyarihan ko sa kanya para lang sumama siya. On the other hand, hindi niya magagamit ang kapangyarihan niya sa akin hindi lang dahil masyado siyang mahina ngayon kundi dahil hindi niya lang talaga kaya. That is one of the weaknesses I saw in her. Her emotions often clouded her judgement.

Out of her will, sumama siya sa akin. Nang makarating kami sa Clinic ay agad ko siyang pinapasok. Ipinagpaalam ko siya sa nurse na nakashift doon. Narinig ko silang nag uusap bago ako lumabas para hanapin si Jett.

"What the hell did you do?" I demanded. Wala na akong pakialam kahit na natiningin siya ng masama sa akin. If the situation is different malamang natakot na ako. But not now.

Nilampasan ako ni Jett na para bang walang narinig. This bastard really knows how to annoy people. But unfortunately I also know what could unnerve him.

"Nasa clinic siya ngayon. She looks really pale. Ano bang mga sinabi mo sa kanya?"

Huminto siya sa paglalakad. Hindi parin siya lumilingon but I could almost see his peircing eyes and clenching jaw. I glance at his fist, they form into ball.

"Look, siguro nga wala na akong pakialam doon pero sana hwag mo muna siyang bigyan ng problema."

I sigh before continuing.

"Alam kong alam mo na nagt-training siyang mag isa. You need to stop her, Jett. You either help her or she'll die."
