Skylar's POV

The sun was already going down and the moment I had been dreading these past five days had finally came and I was scared to even step outside because I'm scared to talk to him. I feel horrible for what I did but like I said, I can't force myself to love someone.

"It's okay, just go babe" Tanner said rubbing my back

"Ok" I sighed and walked out the back door and made my way towards the barn

I saw him scooping up the hay and throwing it into a pile to clean the barn. I knocked on the one of the stalls to get his attention.

He turned around and just stared at me.

"Um....hey" I said awkwardly

"Hey" he replied looking down

"Can I uh...can I talk to you?"

"Of course" he said setting the shovel against the wall

He walked towards me and I lead him up to the ledge and we sat down. It was silent for a few minutes and not a word was said.

"I'm sorry" I sighed

"For what?"

"The way things ended. It wasn't right and I can't believe I did that to you"

"It's fine"

"No it's not"

"It is" he sighed

"I heard you talking to Tanner earlier and I know eavesdropping is wrong but I heard everything"

"Everything?"

"Everything"

~~earlier that day~~

I followed behind Tanner trying to get him to calm down.

"Tanner please just leave it alone"

"No! He keeps looking at you and I try to ignore it but I can't anymore. I'm tired of being Mr. Nice Guy, it's not okay anymore"

"Why are you getting so mad over looks?!"

"Because I'm afraid you are going to look back!"

"What?!"

"You feel so bad about everything and I feel like just one glimpse at him can make you decide you love him"

"I don't"

"But what if you do? What will I do then? You are everything to me and I've tried to keep my cool but I'm so over it now"

"Babe, listen to me. I'm not in love with him and it wouldn't matter if I was because I would never ever leave you"

"I just want to talk to him okay?! I'm sorry and I know I'll regret yelling at you later but I just need to say something" he said coldly and walking at a fast pace towards the barn where he was working. Westin has always worked on teddy's farm during the late afternoon and night for the past seven years. So we always knew where to find him

By the time I had got to the door they were already talking and I was going to go in but I heard my name so I listened to their words even though I knew it was wrong

"I know you loved her back then but it's not okay for you to keep looking at her. She isn't yours anymore okay?!"

"Loved?! Loved?! I still love her!"

"You were fifteen! You didn't even know what love was"

"It doesn't matter if I was fucking fifteen. I loved her then and I love her now. I always have and I always will, I can't help it"
