I flinched slightly as she rubbed the gel around my belly. I hadn't paid much attention to what the nurse had said, I nodded as she talked but I was just waiting for her to say those ten words they say to most pregnant women. I watched the screen as a tiny and partially unclear image of my child showed on the screen. That's the little girl or boy that is growing inside of me right now. The child I will get to love and hold in a few months. Suddenly, I wasn't scared, I was happy and I was excited. All I want more than anything now, is to hold my baby in my arms. How could I ever have the thought of getting an abortion or an adoption for my little one? I'm a horrible person for ever letting that cross my mind.

"Would you like to know the sex of the baby?" she smiled politely

Tanner grabbed my hand, slightly squeezing. "Of course" I said nearly crying from happiness

"Congrats Tanner and Skylar, its a boy!"

"Oh my god!" Tanner smiled and wrapping his arms around me

A tear fell down my cheek "It's a little boy"

"It's a boy?!" Parker yelled running through the door

We laughed at his excitement "Yes, it's a boy"

She finished explaining everything then we left the hospital. With my hand in Tanner's we made our way back home. We didn't even make it to the porch before Bradley and Jacob came running through the door.

"What is it? What is it? What is it?" They both asked impatiently

"Let's go inside first" I suggested

They practically dragged us through the door because of how badly they wanted to know. They sat on the couch and waited for us to speak.

"We're having-" Tanner started "A boy" we say in sync

They jumped off the couch so fast that I'm surprised they didn't fall and hurt themselves. They yelled and hollered, nearly bouncing off the walls. After they slightly settled down, they pulled us in for a group hug.

It got silent after the hug and we heard Jacob laugh

"What's so funny?"

"You're still going to be the only girl in the house" He teased me as everyone laughed.
