Tanner's POV

I didn't want to leave again but I did at the same time. Leaving isn't really the best option right now, but I can't be in the same room as her. She was right though, I would try to talk her out of it but talking her out of it isn't a bad thing.

I ran up the stairs and into the kitchen. I sat on one of the bar stools and stared at my hands, twiddling my thumbs. I don't know what I'm supposed to do now, I really don't.

Footsteps came walking up behind me and eventually, Jacob was stood in front of me.

"Go away Jacob" I sighed

"Why? Talking to someone might help"

I sighed again and a tear fell "I don't feel like talking"

"Come on man, I'm just trying to help"

I took a deep breath "Skylar is pregnant"

"I know"

"You knew?! How could you not tell me?! What kind of a friend keeps something like this from their best friend?!"

"Ok, you need to calm the fuck down Tanner. I understand you are upset but don't yell for the whole neighborhood to hear"

"How could she tell you before me? It's not like it's your baby" my eyes widened "oh my!-"

"Stop jumping to conclusions Tanner. She would never do that to you, and I would never do that to you. I wasn't supposed to know"

"What do you mean you weren't supposed to know?"

"I mean I wasn't supposed to know, it was an accident. She was on the phone with your mom and I walked in her room to see what she wanted from the Cheesecake Factory and I heard her say it. We just walked in at the wrong time"

"We? Who else knows?"

"Bradley" he said quietly

"Is that all?"

"Yes. Just me, Bradley, and your mom"

"How come you didn't tell me?"

"It wasn't my place to tell you and I swore to sky that I wouldn't say anything"

"Oh"

"Okay, so tell me what's going on"

"When I left, she had time to think about it"

"So?"

"She decided to get an abortion"

"Oh, that's not the best idea"

"I know and I tried to tell her but she won't listen"

"Talk her into an adoption"

"You don't understand Jacob, I don't want her to get rid of it at all"

"What?"
