I woke up and saw Tanner was laying in my bed. I missed this, with our disagreements, we never were the way we were before. We spoke less, we slept in different bedrooms, Tanner and I stopped going on spontaneous "adventures". It's just been different.

Having his arms wrapped around me while we sleep made me feel safe and not so lonely.

I got out of bed without waking him and took a quick shower then got ready for the day. By the time I had finished my hair, Tanner woke up.

"Are you going somewhere?" He said walking into the kitchen

"No, but we are"

"Is that so?"

I nodded my head and smiled

"Where are we going baby? You seem oddly very smiley today"

"To a special place"

"The beach?"

"Nope and you aren't allowed to guess"

"Why?"

"Because. Now go get ready"

"Okay" he said and ran down the stairs

After about fifteen minutes, he came running back up the stairs and he smiled widely. "I'm ready"

"Alright, let's go"

I grabbed my car keys and we headed to the special place. I don't even know what it looks like because I haven't been there since I was really little but it is still special to me anyway.

I pulled into the parking lot and got out.

"Babe, why'd you bring us here?" He asked looking around the park

"Because it's really special to us"

"Us?"

"Look around"

Tanner's POV

I looked around the park and remembered those familiar swings. Those were the swings that I first met Skylar at.

I sat on the last available swing and started to kick my feet up high. I stared to swing higher and higher until I felt like I could touch the clouds. I slowly leaned back and stuck my feet in the air.

I looked down to see a girl about my age watching me. She smiled as she watched me swing high in the air. I put my feet down so I slowed my movements. Soon enough, I was stopped.

"Hi" she smiled sweetly and I saw her front tooth was missing

"Hi" I smiled back

"I'm Skylar" she said twisting her foot a little

"I'm Tanner" I said grinning ear to ear "wanna turn?"

"Yeah!" She said jumping up and down

"Come on! I'll push you"

"Okay"

She ran over to the swing and I started to push her forward.

"Lets be friends" she called from the air

"Yeah! Let's be best friends!"

"Okay!" She smiled.

"Tanner?" I heard my mom's voice call behind me

"Hm?"

"It's time to go"

"Do we have to?" I whined "I'm having fun with my new friend"

"I'm sorry buddy but we have to go"

Another lady walked up next to my mom and called for Skylar. Skylar sighed "I don't want to go mommy"

"Oh, you must be Skylar's mom" my mom said shaking her hand

"Indeed I am" she smiled

"I guess our kids have become friends-"

"Best friends" I interrupted

They both laughed "maybe we could set up a play date"

"Of course" my mom laughed and they exchanged numbers.

"Bye Skylar" I said hugging her

"Bye"

"Babe, this is where we met"

"That's right"

"How old were we? Like five?"

"I think so"

I heard a child laughing and I saw Tanner as he watched the kid run around playing with her parents. I saw sadness wash over his eyes and he looked at the ground.

"Babe there's a reason I brought you here"

"What is it?"

I took a deep breath in "I've done a lot of thinking.....and I have decided to keep the baby"

He looked right at me and stared into my eyes. A wave of joy washed over his face and he smiled widely. "Really?"

I nodded my head and he wrapped his arms around me tightly. I just hope this is the right decision because there's no turning back now.
