Chapter 16: tomorrow

I lay beside PB and curl up beside her. Looking at what i thought was her isn't her at all.

"Mwahhaha! Marceline you will dry in the sun!" Dessert prince says grabbing me and throwing me out the open window. soon i am in the bigger princes hands being held up in the air. I turn into a bat his grip tightening around me. Then I feel my body burning and I see the sun riseing in the east. I surpress my screams of burning agony. He sqeezes me harder and i finally let out a screech.

I feel someone tug on me and I jolt upright and out of bed. I am standing in a defensive pose staring at Bonnie.

"Marcy?... Bad dream?"

I dont give her and answer and then my gaze moves to the ground. I don't want to tell her what i did to Dexter. She would be "Displeased" with me. So I just look at the ground at back away hitting the wall almost in tears. I hate the guiltiness inside,when i do that to someone and my hate runs over me I dream horriable dreams. And my guilt grows.

I hear Bonnie get up and then her footsteps walking to me. Then I feel her arms wrap around my shoulders hugging me tightly, but she says nothing. Sencario's run throughmy head and all i can think is that she knows. But why isnt she speaking? Why isnt she saying anything? I hear the door being opened and then I push her back to thebed cover her up and turn into a bat hiding in the shadows of the room. I look down and see peppermint butler walk through, with not only himself but Finn and Jake. Shiz sickles.

"PB how come you ain't up girl it's time for excitements and exploring!" Jake yells ecstatically.

"Yeah! And soon we are gonna go get mar-"

Peppermint butler interrupts them. And pushes them out. "Why is there clothes everywhere? She's here isn't she? Marcy get down her now!" He yells but I stay where I am. "You are not acting like a princess Bonniebel!"

She groans and throws her pillow at him. "Look I know that... Just please get out so I can get dressed."

"Y-you aren't. Ugh! Why can't you just be a normal princesses taking an interest in princes! Huh!"

My anger starts to boil at his incompetence. And I just feel angered. Bu if I swoop down and change, it would be bad because I have no clothes on.

I just stay put and watch, Pepper doesn't leave and stays standing there. I look at Bonnie waiting.

She grabs the blanket wrapping herself in it and standing. "Well Peppermint it's not like you can do a thing about it. This may sound rude, or I'm taking advantage of my place but you have no spot to tell me what I can and can't do. Now what must I do today?" She says going in her closet but looking at Peppermint as she dresses.

I smile at her and then I go wide eyed as a knife is thrown at me and flying past my head into the wall. "Out!" Peppermint spats. I decide to just look at PB and and then swoop down grabbing my clothes and wrapping in them and fly out into the day light.

"PEPPERMINT!" I hear her scream.

But I ignore and I fly getting hot and soon falling and hitting the ground sliding into the rose bushes. I just stay in bat form in the thorny bush. I hear Jake, Finn, cinnamon bun and starchy in the gardens playing around with the gumdrop kids. I just listen to their happiness.

I already know what peppermint thinks about me being there. But what about the kingdom. I don't want her sacrificing anything for me. She is an amazing ruler and will do what she can for the candy kingdom. But obviously she will do whatever to save me as well.

I get on the other side of the bush, I stand and put on my clothes. Once I'm done I sit in the shade of the bush listening to Finn and them. Then I see lady over head and she flies to the other side with Jake. I sigh and just sit there. I don't want to leave her but if I have too.... I may....

My thoughts stop when I hear PB ask the others a question.

"Marcy I'll come to your house tonight... The castle isn't a safe place." She says looking at me kinda from the corner of her eye.

"Hay... I love you". She pulls me back down kissing my lips and she lets go and gives a small smile. "See you tonight."

I smile and then float off.
