Chapter 31: Trying to Help

(Pb's pov)

When I wake up the next morning I don't see Marcy beside me and I go to the living room to see her on the couch asleep. I go in the kitchen writing a note. "I'm going down to the beach for a quick walk. Be back in a little bit". I kiss her forehead and put it on the coffee table.

Then I go put on my sundress and go outside. When I start walking I smile at the sight of the waves and smell of the air. I haven't been to this castle since my father was alive. But yet it's clean and kept.

"Hay bubblegum". I turn around to see ghost princess.

"Hay what are you doing here?" I ask walking with her.

"Well I like to be the one to keep this place clean. It's to beautiful to not keep it this nice. What are you doing here? Personal vacation?"

"Thank you and no, I came with Marcline."

"Oh. Well that's fun."

I nod and walk with her talking about what I've been doing since last time I saw her, I would tell her about me and Marcy but I don't know if she gets off the island. After my walk I go back to the castle and see Marcy sitting up.

"Good morning sleepy head."

"Morning...." She say groggily runnin her head. I see the note untouched. Meaning she hasn't touched and most likely just got up.

I go over and kiss her then I go back in the kitchen to cook breakfast. "So what did you want to do today?"

"I'm not sure...maybe w-" I hear her stop. Then I hear the paper on the table. "Okay you've already walked maybe.... Um... Go to the shopping areas or swimming."

"Ok. Are you alright? Or still a little upset?" I ask sitting beside her on the couch.

"Eh.... Just... Eh"

"Gotcha...". After we eat I go out on the balcony and look out on the small town that surrounds the castle.

Marcy follows me to the balcony looking around.I take a deep breath then look at her. She's beutiful... But so sad. Would there be anything I can do? I just look at the floor then try to put on a smile. "Alright, let's just go walking around town then."

She looks at me. "Yeah. Sure..." Marcy gives a small smirk and then looks down near the town.

We go to town and some welcome me, but some look at me with strange looks. As we walk though the streets I look at all the places and small shops, when I see a music shop I elbow Marcy.

"Hm?" She looks at me and kinda just stares at me.

"There's a music shop if you want to go look....." I say pointing.

"Uh... Sure." She say giving a small smirk

"Ok. I'll be right back. I have to run to a friends. See you back at the castle?"

"Uh...." She looks down and then at the music store. "Yeah. See ya..." She starts walking towards the store with out another word.

I walk though the streets going to a small shop. Inside I see one of my friends that used to live in the main kingdom.

"Well your a sight for sore eyes. Hay Bonnibel."

"Hay Lola. How's the shop?". She's some kind if pastry and she helped me with some if my experiments when I was younger.

"It's good, business is ok but it could be better. How are things at the castle?"

"Not bad... Busyish."

"Hm, any new experiments?"

"Nope, haven't had the time to work on them. So is that old necklace still here?"

"The black petal one? You said you wanted to get it for a vampire last time. Still that one vampire?"

"Yes... But she's upset and... Never mind Lola, I need advice."

"Just let her work it out, if she wants your help she'll show it."

"She's not a showy person."

"But if she loves you she will come to you." She winks at me and I give a small smile.

"Thanks Lola. I'll be at the castle if you want to come by later."

"Alright I might have to pop in. See you later Bonnie."

I nod and when I get back to the castle I fall asleep in one of the chairs outside on the balcony.
