Chapter 20: boring sleep

(Marcy's pov)

I feel PB get up and then a few moments later I feel her get back in bed. Did I all asleep on her? Hm... I fall back asleep leaning my head on hers.

-dream-

"Marceline!"

"Coming!" I yell, then I lay my bear and guitar battle axe on the ground, beside a tree ready to come back after lunch.

-30 minutes later/10 dream seconds later-

I run back to the tree and there's a pink haired girl in a lab coat by my stuff.

"Can I help you?" I ask looking at you.

"I- uh....." The girl turns around. And in a stutter looks at me.

"Well?"

"I seen your stuff and wanted to make sure it...... I don't know sorry....."

"Hm..... You play anything?" I ask her walking over and grabbing my guitar and bear.

She shakes her head. "No but I wish I did".

"Oh.... Maybe I can teach you.... If you can give me science lessons." I smile looking at the lab coat. "What about it princess" I say adding a nickname to the list, little did I know she would become one.

"Sure! I'd be happy to". She says smiling.

"How come you don't mind the nicknames?"

"Hmm. I don't know. My dad gave them to me all the time. So I don't mind them much".

"Used to?"

She kinda looks at the ground. "Yah he died not to long ago..."

"Oh....I'm sorry..." I say looking down at the ground. "When do you wanna start on the lessons?"

Before the dream can get any further I wake up and sit up straight as though the dream was a nightmare. I look over at Bonnie and she's fast asleep. I grab a pillow or two and lay them under her head. Then I cover her with the blanket, and fly over to the tv. I take the VHS out and put it up. Then I turn of the tv and go the kitchen. I open the fridge and see there isn't much in there. And I can't just feed her an apple. I fly upstairs into my room and change. It should still be nighttime so I should be fine but I take my hat as well.

I fly down stairs and check on her, I write a note saying:

"Hey Bonnie I went to go get food for you I'll be back in a bit. If I ain't back it's probably day light an I need to wait. But I brought my hat so I should be fine. If there is any other reason then I don't know. But I love you and see you soon.
- Marcy"

I leave the note on the pillow beside er and then go out the front door. I fly into the night and the to the local night store. I go in and buy a few things and then realize they are starting to close shop. I growl and pay, afterwards I fly out the store and fly fast into the woods. I hit the woods rolling. I stand up and brush off and just walk in the forest. I huff and get back to the gap of no trees between the forest and my cave. Great.

Suns almost up and it's a big gap..... I huff and fly say and get half way when the sun starts to show. I huff and feel the sting on my back. Then I get inside the cave sliding on the cave floor. I look at the groceries and they are still perfect as was when I left the store. I stand again and brush off. I walk into the house and don't see Bonnie but I hear the shower running upstairs, I smile and go to the kitchen and start fixing her breakfast.
