Chapter 29: Waking Up

(PB's POV)

"Marcy! Marcy wake up!" I yell, shaking her. "It's just a bad dream! Get up..."

When she sits up and hisses I just sit there looking at her.

"Are you ok?"

"I....." She looks flabbergasted and then she just hugs me.

I give a small worried look but hug her back. "It's ok... It was just a dream... I had it to".

"The same dream?..." She hugs me a little tighter but then she snatches back and looking at the bedroom door. The door creaks and peppermint walks through.

"Hello milady. Hello Marceline. I brought you breakfast."

I kinda jump back and cover myself. "H- hi Peppermint... Thanks." He walks out and I look at Marcy... "The one where he took over my kingdom?"

"Yes.... " she sad looking away her hand moves to her side as though in pain.

"You ok? Sore?" I get out of bed and put on my purple pants and I put on my shirt from Marcy.

"Yeah....." She looks down and I follow her eyes. She has a huge bruise from the ribs to her hip bone. The bruise shows the outline of her ribs and her hip bone well.

"What the hell? Was that from last night? Or was it me in my sleep?"

"I'm not sure but it hurts...." She stands and gets up and puts her ripped jeans on. Then she slides her shirt on, wincing when it touches her bruise. She walks to the door. "I'm going down.... See you at the table." She walks out closing the door.

I nod and go to the bathroom seeing the damage from last night. When I look at my back I see bite marks and I little bit of grey skin. That's probably from her deam... I put my shirt back down and go downstairs and sit at the table.

"Morning milady, sleep well"? Peppermint kinda looks to Marcy and I nod.

"Yah... If it weren't for a bad dream."

"Hmm. You Marcline? Dreams as well?" He asks as I start to get a little of the food.

"Uh.... Nah...." She kinda looks down and at her food.

"Hello everyone! I have arrived!" I turn around to see LSP. "Marciline what the glob are you doing here?" I roll my eyes.

"Because I can be lumpy got a prob?" Marcy says being snippy.

"No I guess not... Anyway PB are we going today? You never met me."

"For what?"

"The festival. You promised the kingdom you would be there."

"That's today?"

She nods and I run upstairs and get some decent clothes on then I go bac into the dining room as I'm putting my hair up.

"Marcy do you want to come?" I ask looking at her.

"Sure." She stands and flys up saris coming down with her hat on and her gloves and long sleeved shirt. "Ready...."

I give a small smile and take her hand in mine. When we get down I see Finn and Jake smiling at us, I see flame princess and a lot of the others. It just reminds me of the dream and I shudder.

"Hay PB, Marcy. What's up?" Jake says kinda looking at our hands.

"Nothing much." Marcy says just looking at him.

Some of the candy people welcome me and get me away from my group of fiends and away from Marcy. I sigh walking around with them and then I catch up with everyone.

"Sorry guys."

"It's cool PB. Anyone want to go back to the tree house?" Finn asks.

"I'm game." Marcy says kinda looking down and away from everyone. He hat hiding her face.

I nod and as we are heading to Finn and jakes I just stay quiet. I feel a little sick but I keep quiet.

"So PB what are you going to do about the whole Dexter issue?"

I forget that he's still an ass and I shake my head. "I don't know but I don't want to worry about it now."

"Well... Oh yah Marcy your dad came by earlier. He said something about you needing to talk to him about a relationship issue?" Jake kinda says with looks of confusion.

"Re-Lation.... Ship issue?" She gives a confused look.

"That's all he mentioned."

I look at her then back to Jake. "Marcy should we go?"

"Yeah..... I mean you can stay but I'm going."

"Are you sure?" I ask with a bit of worry.

"I mean you can but you don't have to if you want to say here."

"Yeah...." She looks like he disappointed and she flies off with out another word.
