Chapter 18: movie?

(Marcy's Pov)

I just hold her tight, then I lean my head back and bring my lips to hers. Then I stop and back up from her.

"Wanna watch a movie?" I ask her.

"Sure."

"What movie?" I ask floating around to my shelf with thirty movies.

"Hmm... Any one of them should be fine."

"Well you pick."

"Fine get one of them I haven't seen that you like." She says sprawling on the couch. I say and pick a scary movie.

Shutter.

I look at it and pick it. I put it in the box and start the tv. It plays previews and I go back upstairs and get a blanket and lay it on the couch so it's not so hard. I then put a few pillows and pull out the couch into a bed.

"Hm I didn't know it did that". She lays down and picks up the movie case. Then she smiles and puts it back on the side table.

"What's the smile for?"

"Hm I haven't seen a good horror movie in forever. Since last time I was over."

"Yeah.... That was a year ago." I say siting on the couch.

She nods but looks a little surprised at it. "Really that long?"

"Yeah...."

She shakes her head and just kinda grabs the remote pushing play to avoid the conversation.

"Avoiding the convo there hun?"

"No... Just..." She stops not looking at me.

"Just what?" I say taking the remote and pausing the movie beginning. And I tilt my head looking at her.

"Just I'm pissed that all that time went by and I never even thought about it...". She still doesn't look at me as she raises her voice a little.

"What do you mean?" I ask kinda confused.

"I mean I never thought about you. Not unless Fin or Jake brought you up! I hate that! I feel like I just-! Just shut you out compleatly..." Her voice calms as she starts talking about it.

"Well.... It's because you had kingdom duties... And busy dealing with pep- speak of the devil...." I look at the door as he barges in. "Ya know pepper I could eat you right now.... But I'm busy and would find it rad for you to leave."

"Marceline! Bonniebel! You two can not do this! Milady, please I am family and your parents in trusted me from the afterworld to look after you. So please give me my job back." Peppermint says walking towards the coat to plead.

I hiss and fly and float in front of him. "Peppermint, leave..."

"I can not Marceline."

"You can and will." I say picking him up and taking him outside slamming the door behind me. "What are you doing peppermint? You know she's not letting you back in. So be gone."

He looks at me and hisses and runs at me like some demon cockroach. I fly up and he jumps. I hiss and then slam him down, hitting the water he floats down and then back up and then I feel my anger boiling. Face hot. I dive down dragging him down as far as I can. I am losing air and he is fading in his strips. The red running through the water. Kinda looks like.... Blood...

He tries to fight but he is running out of air as well. And quickly dying from lack of it. I can hold my breath but if I let go to go up he'll surely follow.

I let go and kick him, pushing him down further, and I swim up as quickly as I can. I swim up getting to the surface and I give a hard breath. I crawl on the rock of the cave and roll over breathing trying to get air.
