Suddenly, PAGE #4 enters with the news. Everyone stands up.
PAGE #4: I bring with me the result of the decision in the House of Lords pertaining to the upcoming regency: by a majority of sixty-four, the Opposition... has been defeated, and the Regency Bill has been passed.
Everyone cheers in triumph. PITT hugs LORD CHATHAM, and shakes hands with LORD THURLOW. Cut to ACT II, SCENE XXXXV.
