You had stayed home sick from school. You burning to the touch and your throat was on fire, so your mom assumed it was the flu and forced you to stay home. It was now 2:48pm (which is actually the time that I'm writing this lol) and you weren't tired anymore. You still felt like shit, but you just weren't that tired. Suddenly, you felt a small scratch at your hand and perked up slowly, only to see your tiny kitten, Bella (that's my kitten's name!) pawing at your hand. You grinned and began petting her gingerly.
Soon, she was in the crook of your neck purring loudly and toying with your curly hair as you pet her and giggled hoarsely as your hair tickled your face. Then, you heard someone clear their throat. Peering up, you saw Alex Standall, your boyfriend, in your window grinning at the sight of you.
"How are you lovely?" He purred and you smiled weakly.
"Better now," You mumbled and he chuckled. "How long have you been there?"
"Long enough to know you may love your kitten more than you love me," He mock grumbled and you playfully rolled your eyes.
"Come here," You muttered, moving over so there was space on the bed for him.
Soon, he was right next to you, holding you in his arms and staring at Bella, who was now on top of his chest. After debating for a few moments, he begins petting her, causing her to purr loudly.
"This is actually pretty calming," He states and you raise an eyebrow at him. "I mean I have my girlfriend in my arms and a kitten on my chest and a real good song stuck in my head."
"What song?" You ask.
"Thinking Out Loud," He replies and you smile brightly. Think Out Loud was the first song you two danced to and it quickly began you two's song.
"Sing it," You insisted. He rolled his eyes but began humming in spite of himself.
"And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
