Clay's POV

She was beautiful. Everything about her was beautiful. Her chocolate brown hair swirled in indescribable patterns. Her blue eyes could hold all the water of oceans from different worlds. Her skin absorbed the sun miraculously, as if she was gleaming herself. Her body curved so gently, like a roman god had crafted the body. Her soft voice could soothe anyone.

I didn't deserve her, but she picked me. I remembered the whole thing like it was yesterday, even though it was a year ago.

She was new to the school. She came in right after Hannah died and it felt like her replacement. I was upset. I didn't want Hannah to be replaced, she couldn't be replaced. I avoided her as much as possible, but she had all honors classes. Eventually, we crossed paths, but in the nurse's office.

Her hair was down and she was wearing skinny jeans and a black t-shirt. Her hair was covering the writing on it. She had a Gatorade and a cup of Cheez its, but it was an hour until lunch. I must've given her a dirty look because she rolled her eyes and kept eating the Cheez its.

"I need burn cream," I complained, looking at the large burn on my index finger from the hot glue.

She swirled over to the cabinet before the nurse could and pulled out a band-aid and a pack of burn cream. Her mouth was full so she grabbed me and pulled me over with her arm. She lethargically put on the burn cream and band-aid and then smiled, crumbs still hidden in her teeth. I couldn't help but laugh and she snorted a bit and took a gulp of Gatorade.

"Hey!" I heard behind me that day.  Turning, there she was, waving an arm towards me.

"Hey," I mumbled, fumbling to close my backpack. She reached over and closed it for me. "Are you like allergic to everything except Gatorade and Cheez its?" I asked trying to break the ice.

"No I'm allergic to all air except the air in the clinic," She growled and I laughed. She was up to my shoulder. "My body doesn't make the right amount of salt, I have to obtain it another way," She explained.

I felt her turn under my arm and it snapped me from my daydream. I kissed her forehead sweetly and she smiled. Her smile could light up the whole world if it needed to. I didn't deserve her from the beginning, I thought.

"Hey, Stone," She mumbled and I laughed at the nickname she gave me so long ago when she learned my name.

"Hey sweets."

***

Soooo this was kinda based off of a friend of mine that's why I added to heart problem in there, but she's pretty cool, we all love her. She came up with this plot line so fun.
