Aphmau's POV

*Play Song*

"I think—I'm seeing unicorns." Katelyn moans, sprawled on the bench in the intern locker room, leering  at the ceiling with the back of her hand resting on her forehead.

"You didn't get into Nana's cookies, did you?" I question, smirking at the idea, remembering the last time people ate her...special cookies.

"No—no cookies but the tips of my hair do...smell funny."

I finally fail at stifling my laughter, breaking into one of my stomach-aching laughing sprees, rolling around on the locker room floor in emphasis.

"Oh my Irene. Aphmau, I wasn't that drunk." Katelyn exclaims, pulling the tips of her hair up to her nose in investigation, inducing an expression of absolute repulsiveness

I continue laughing, to the point where I had trouble breathing.

"Hey, it's not like I don't know what you and Aaron did in the bathroom last night..." Katelyn mimics my smirk.

"Heh...wait—woah woah WOAH...w-we didn't do anything last night." I stutter, blushing mad red. #MADMAX sorry not sorry.

"Mmmmmhmmm...so if you weren't doing what I think you were doing...then what were you doing?" Katelyn waggles her eyebrows comically.

"We were...SWORDFIGHTING YAH THAT!" Blurting out the first word to come to mind.

Swordfighting? Really...

"Really? Sword fighting...with what?" Katelyn asks, waiting for me to enlighten her curiosity.

"With...OUR TOOTHBRUSHES—UM Y-YEAH, THAT!"

"Hmm...so tell me, how big—exactly is his toothbrush?"

My face goes suddenly white but Garroth thankfully saves me. "Hey guys, get ready for rounds," Garroth says as he leaves the locker room being followed by Cadenza.

"Oh thank Irene, see, Katelyn, we gotta go—"

"HEY, I STILL WANT AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION!" Katelyn calls after me as I sprint out of the locker room and that unwanted conversation.

Let's just say, the size of one's toothbrush should not be discussed publicly...not that there is anything wrong with it....if you know what I mean.

As I enter one of the patient's room, I find Aaron conversing with what looked to be the patient's parents and the patient who was a young girl about 5 years of age.

As I enter the room's vicinity, I feel Aaron's gaze fall on me, welcoming me into the conversation.

"Ah, there you are. Mr. and Mrs. Garnet, this is Dr. Phoenix. She is another doctor on your daughter's case. Well, Dr. Phoenix," He glances back at me as he says my name with unwavering grace. "...I was just going over the case with them—care to help me explain it?"

God, I forget how attractive he is when he's being professional.

"Uh, yes. Lilith Garnet, age 5, with a butterfly tumor going across the frontal lobe, which concerns the optic nerve that could compromise her vision." I state to the parents.

"Bwutter." I hear a cute high-pitched voice squeak.

"Hmm?" I divert my gaze towards the hospital bed, where the little girl, with wavy blonde hair and baby blue eyes, smiles and then says again.

"His name is Bwutter, the tumor..." Lilith states again, fidgeting with her hospital blanket.

"Why did you name him butter?" Aaron asks, taking a seat at the edge of her hospital bed.

"Because he's a bwutterfly...but he's stuck to me like bwutter, and can't be—free to flwy..." Lilith explains, her soft blue eyes sparkling with wonder.

"Is it also—because you like butter?" I inquire, sitting on the other side of the bed.

"Nooooooo." Lilith says while dropping her head, her focus falling on her fidgeting fingers, avoiding eye contact.

"Okay, look me in the eye and say you don't like butter—not gonna lie, it's going to be hard. I can't do it. Dr. Phoenix certainly can't—" Aaron says, but, as I was quite offended, I cut him off.

"Woah...woah, who says I can't?" I retort with my hands on my hips in a sassy manner.

Lilith giggles at our conversation, amused by our exchange.

"I did." Aaron softly chuckles, amusement twinkling in his eyes.

"Hah well, you wrong boi." I say confidently, the American teenager coming out of me.

"Prove it."

"Okay, I will."

I stare deeply into his black galaxy eyes, allowing myself to daydream momentarily until I sadly snap back to reality.

"I don't lov—" I try, but I ultimately fail, giggling at the irresistible subject for god-knows-why.

"Ha-ha, you can't do it." Lilith teases, her chubby hands waving in the air.

"Told you so," Aaron says casually, satisfied with his victory. "Okay, Lilith, today we are going to take bwutter out, and set him free...okay?" Aaron smiles kindly at the little girl.

"Okay, but Dr. Lwycan?" Lilith pouts.

"What is it, Lilith?"

"I'm scared, what if—what if Bwutter doesn't want to come out?"

"Don't worry, we'll give him a reason to." Aaron assures.

As Aaron and I leave the room, the mother comes up behinds us and stops us right outside the door.

"Thank you so much doctors, you are both so good with her...have any kids of your own?" She asks politely, with no idea of what she was insinuating.

I feel the familiar heat seep up my neck, exploding throughout my face.

"Uh no, not yet." Aaron manages out oh-so-casually, a slight tint of pink on his cheeks.

YET!?

"Oh well, you'd make great parents, and those babies—oh, they would be SO CUTE! Anyways, thanks again." She returns back into Lilith's room with no regard for the conversation she just set in place.

Aaron then turns to me, noticing my face, which makes him chuckle.

"Whaaat!?" I squeal, my face still crimson.

"You're so cute when you blush." He brushes a loose strand of my hair to the side of my face.

"Mmmm." I moan, trying to hide my face so I look down.

"And she's right—they would be very cute." He whispers intentionally right next to my ear.

"AAH AARON!" My face now must have been visible by astronauts in outer space, a beaming, very confusing dot of extreme red.

He chuckles again, leaning down to kiss me gently then grab my hand as we walked towards the hospital cafeteria for lunch.

As we walked, I could somehow make out a slight growl.

Who could that be?

Oh look sunshine and daisies, for once in my books.

Oh don't worry Crystals, I'm not done with the drama yet...

Not...

Even...

Close...

Have a nice day my crystals!
