Aphmau's POV
*Play Song*
The cool water gathers in the creases of my toes, so whenever my foot rises, the droplets from before drop like seeds being pulled down by gravity, as they melt into the large abundant swimming pool below.
I was sitting on the edge of the pool, my legs slowly swaying in the water.
I was observing Aaron and Lilith sprawling about in the water.
Aaron was trying to teach Lilith to swim, holding her up while she swung her arms in constant stroke.
Me, not being able to swim, was no help in this matter.
It was cute, seeing Lilith swim like a baby fish flapping its tiny fins for the first time.
Aaron eventually lets go of Lilth, though still keeping his hands underneath her just in case she sinks.
We both keep encouraging her, cheering her on like a cheer leading squad.
"C'mon Lilith, kick! Push the water past you!" Aaron exclaims, drawing his hands more down every single time.
Even though she was only 5, and had a serious brain tumor, she could still swim better than I could....
Probably because, yeah I can't swim.
She then finally reaches the other side of the pool, breathing heavily, her little goggles propped on her forehead.
"Great job Lilith!' Aaron and I both shout.
I smile, looking around at my beautiful family.
My adorable daughter....
My perfect boyfriend....
The sun shining brightly against my back, adding to the warmth being showed through our actions.
Though of course, when everything becomes perfect....
Something must go wrong....
That's just life apparently.....
Aaron then looks at me, a bit of concern in his eyes.
"Aph, you sure you don't want to come in?" He questions, gesturing to the cool calm water of the pool.
Aaron knows I couldn't swim as a kid, but now, I still can't swim.
Maybe he assumes I can swim now.
"Pft me? Haha nah, you guys have fun....I'm...GETTING my tan on...YEAH!" I make up, my mouth having no filter of what I was saying.
Tan on? Really?!
Aaron then walks over to me, him being tall enough to stand in the pool that was actually really deep.
Then for the first time in forever, he was the one looking up at me, titling his head up to meet my gaze.
It felt good, being at higher ground.
It made me feel powerful.
He stands so close to me that my dangling legs graze his muscular chest, my toes, softly stabbing him.
(I hope no one thinks of that the way I think of it........NOT IN A DIRTY WAY MIND YOU)
Then I can see in his eyes, a glint of mischievousness.
