Aphmau's POV

I organize the files that Aaron wanted, straightening them against the desk in the x-ray reading room.

A ever lingering smile on my face.

I glance at my ring finger, admiring the shine coming off the dazzled ring.

Something then causes me to slightly jump, it being the door to the room..

I angle my vision quickly around to see it was Katelyn entering the room.

I exhale in relief, setting the files down on the desk.

"Aphmau! Hey I heard about the engagement! Congrats!" Katelyn comes over to me, opening her arms to me.

We join in a hug, both of us smiling and giggling.

She then immediatly releases and pulls out my ring finger, admiring the 3 carat ring in awe.

"Th....three carat?! OH MY F-ING IRENE!" She exclaims, smiling.

Never seen this side of Katelyn before.

"I know right"

"...oh and by the way, I was in the O.R. when he proposed THAT WAS SO CUTE OH MY IRENE" Katelyn hops, still smiling.

This side of her was a bit....unusual.....

I still smile though, glad she is happy.

"Thanks..I.." I start, but then she cuts me off, a bit less jumpy.

"Wait......Aaron's been planing this for months....I actually thought he proposed to you because of the baby..."

"Uh huh....well..." I manage out slyly, cringing.

"Don't tell me" Katelyn's face blank.

Katelyn and Lily are the only two who know about the baby.

I shyly rub my arm, smiling a toothy smile.

"Don't tell me Aphmau Phoenix, that you didn't tell him yet?!" She rages, her fists clenched.

Okay, this is the Katelyn I know.

"Define 'tell'" I remark, turning from her, back towards the files.

"YOU HAVEN'T TOLD HIM YET?!"

"I'm gonna tell him soon okay?! When I'm ready....."

"How many weeks are you?"

"10.....maybe 13......17....."

"How have you been hiding this from him?!" Her eyebrows furrowed.

"With very...VERY loose shirts"

"LOOSE SHIRTS aren't going to be so useful soon. Why don't you just tell him? You guys are getting married anyway and he would be overjoyed to know......" She tries, but I stop her.

"Katelyn....." My voice almost nonexistent.

"Huh?" Her tone dropping.

"Aaron.......yes he probably would want to know, and yes maybe he would be happy about it....but we are happy right now Katelyn....we are overjoyed right now....and if I tell him....it will bring back bad memories, and that will ruin this time of happiness for us.."

"Aphmau.....I have a feeling you are looking at this the wrong way...."

"What?"

"I have a feeling.....telling him now....will make him even happier.....you guys have suffered through so much....and Aaron.....he always thinks he is causing you pain....he always thinks its his fault why all these things keep happening to you..."
