Rose "pov"

It's finally lunch break and I was so tired, this is the worst day ever and it just doesn't seem to be ending soon
after Mr.Robbins left the department every girl gave me the evil envy look, didn't they just saw what happened, I mean he was threaten me and treating me like garbage, I need this job and I won't lose it just because of some arrogant jerk who thinks he owns the world, it's just my first day after all am not that weak to surrender this easily, I should just control myself whenever am around him
I went to the cafeteria and ordered a hamburger with fries and soda I was so hungry, I found an empty table with four empty chairs so I took a seat, after what it seems two minutes Julie and James joined me
"so you weren't joking when you said you've met him and you hate him" Julie said after sitting down on the chair in front of me taking a bite from her sandwich
"who does he think he is !! just because we work for him doesn't mean he owns us to treat us like ants" I say with low anger tone trying not to make a scene, looking at my plate I lost my appetite just thinking of him
"thanks James for what you said earlier you really saved me from kicking his ass and losing my job" I say looking at James with a thankful smile
"no need to mention it, I know he is a really difficult man to deal with but he's very good at his job" he says while smiling back and then took a sip from his soda
"are you defending him?" I reply without being rude, just with a tease look
last thing I need right now is making more enemies besides I really like James and I don't want to lose him just because he thinks that Mr. Robbins is good at his job, I mean it's obvious that he is a brilliant man taking over the company only when he was nineteen and making it this successful I can't argue with that
"no, am just stating the truth rose" he says giving me this wonder look
"I don't want to sound rude but may I ask you something rose?" James asks me shifting in his chair still looking at me
" yeah sure" I reply taking a sip from my soda
"well I don't know how to say this but I couldn't help but notice that Mr. Robbins and you have a connection, I mean do you know each other?" he asked me with confusion look on his face

I got really shocked by his question, I didn't expect it maybe because I knew what was he talking about .... but I didn't think anyone else noticed it, and there is no way that's true, if jack really knew me, he wouldn't treat me like this wouldn't he? maybe he's like this with everyone am sure he got no friends, I mean who would want to be friends with someone who only cares about himself and thinks the world runs around him 

"no we don't, but I can't help thinking that I saw him before" I reply trying to think where I saw him before but I got no clue and I don't want to find out, even if I knew him I don't want anything to do with him
"I was going to ask you the same question rose, Mr. Robbins seemed like he knew you, I mean he never ever talked to anyone before, he seemed interested in you" Julie says looking at me waiting for me to say something
"yeah well you wouldn't think that if you knew what happened this morning" I reply looking at their confused faces
"what happened tell us!" Julie says with excitement

After telling them about what happened this morning James eyes were wide open and Julie's jaw was hanging open
"so you are telling me you didn't know he was the Ceo and you were this rude to him and told you that he will let you pass this time because you are new?" Julie asked me in shocked tone and eyes wide, what's wrong I mean maybe he remembered his first day at work and felt sympathy, no no rose that man knows no sympathy
"yeah he was playing me I hate him and he properly hates me so..." I reply stuffing two fried potatos in my mouth, but both of them were confused, they looked at each other then they turned to look at me

"rose he properly knew you or else you won't be sitting here right now, he never let anyone pass just because their new here" James says emphasizing the word "new here" while looking at me confusion written all over his face, okay he too got something behind him...
